Many paid attention to the animation in this episode, but the best part for me was the character breakdown of Yama and how well Ywach uses mental tactics to win instead of sheer power. Ywach had Yama's squad and lieutenant killed first, this ultimately turned Yama into a rage monster fighting for revenge - Here Yama is being completely spiteful, so instead of treating Ywach like a true threat and just erasing him, he tries to belittle, demean and torture him. In doing so, Yama isn't fighting like an experienced Commander which leads to him making the mistake of overusing his energy, which is why it was weak enough for Ywach to steal. (Repost)

This chapter was honestly incredible. Not only animation wise but also you can feel all the emotions in the battle. Yamamoto was furious with Sasakibe's death and he had no chill going full out on Yhwach, which was ultimately his downfall as well. The last face he made before getting slashed was no longer a face of rage but rather one of realization that he messed up and he just prepares to recieve the attack. Yhwach is not only terrifying because his powers but also because he's an actual strategist, at least so far.

From what I understand, when Yamamoto kills somebody with his flames, they are burned away to ash which then becomes part of his flames. His ability to raise the dead is based around taking those ashes and reforming them into the world.

His twin who was killed by Kenpachi earlier, Loyd Lloyd, was the one who could copy abilities as well as appearance. The confusing part some people focused on was it implied that Royd was stronger despite only being able to copy memories and not ablities since Kenpachi supposedly lost to Royd. So how could Kenpachi beat Loyd but not Royd? Kubo apparently clarified years later that Kenpachi actually fought the real Yhwach but they switched by the time Yamamoto arrived.
