Excellent. This series of videos sums up all I aim to achieve in “finescale” modelling (in my case EM as opposed to P4). Excellent modelling, a sense of place and prototypical operation. My only criticism, very much tongue in cheek, is I wish it was LSWR! Keep up the good work 👍

Was Mr Marsh on this train thus, reputedly, sealing the fate of the singles!

An interesting question, and one which clearly deserves intensive historical research......

A lovely bit of work there! Most interesting. Loved the moving signalman. Where are the sound effects coming from?
@barryluck16253 жыл бұрын
Hello Ian, the sound effects are recordings of real railways, variously manipulated to try to match the videos. The Terrier sound is great - from an IoW Haven Street video if I recall correctly. Adding the sound effects takes as long as all the other bits added together. The moving signalman is a bit of serendipity - two video clips cross-faded which gives the impression of movement - purely accidental!

@@barryluck1625 Well I thought the sound effects had been done well. I can understand about the time taken. Well worth it! Congrats.

Beautiful, Barry! I have recently moved to Hayward’s Heath and noticed plumpton green on the route to Lewis - do you live nearby? Please do continue with the wonderful videos!

Yes, Plumpton is my local station. I have another video in progress, and a couple more planned.

@@barryluck1625 Wonderful. I would love to see the railway one day - I've just started in P4 myself and have joined the Wealden area group.
