Homophobia: By definition, “an extreme and irrational aversion to and hostility toward gay or lesbian people, or those generally believed to be different from traditional gender stereotypes.” Homophobia is a mental disorder👍🏼 Having a general antipathy towards homosexuals is often linked to a mental disorder. Psychotic symptoms such as alienation and an irrational imagination are most likely to come with a general homophobic attitude. These are the findings of a study conducted by several Italian universities, which has been published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine. People with immature defense mechanisms, meaning they haven't learned how to solve problems like adults, are more prone to negative feelings towards gay people than steady personalities. The same phenomenon has been observed with people who have experienced some sort of insecure or fearful attachment behavior. "This may lead to mistrust and anxiety towards other people, or even fear of homosexuals," explains Emmanuele Jannini, a professor of sexual medicine in Rome. In the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology shows that someone with true homophobia is more than just uncomfortable or irritated. They harbor both an actual phobia, which is an irrational fear of a perceived threat that does not exist, as well as something called “psychoticism,” a personality trait characterized by aggression, impulsivity and anti-social behavior.

I was bullied myself for about 10 years straight in school. I moved about 5 times to other cities including a different country. I was really emotional, had zero to none friends and was bullied because of me being soft and i was a little fat back then aswell. When i got in 3rd grade i moved again to another city, and in that school the bullying was outrageous. I got circled everytime i went to school and everytime in breaks by 6 guys, and got beaten to a pulp. Then once i arrived home, bleeding with bruises, and my dad noticed it and he knew this wasnt the first time. He asked me what happened, i replied with nothing, he asked me again and again until i confessed. He then got mad and a little loud and told me: "from now on you tell me everything that's concernig you, I wont fight for you but I will teach you how go fight back." His remarks made me feel stronger than ever before, he gave me his belt amd said once they start to bully me again like this, i should hit everyone with the belt, my dad even said that i shouldnt hit them in their faces, i just had to assert dominance and make them afraid of me. I did that, 2 kids were lying on the ground crying and the rest of the kids went to tell a teacher, but the other kids on the schoolyard who witnessed everyday what they did to me were on my side, and even told the teachers the full story behind all of this. After school i talked to my mom about this issue and she told me that i should apologize for hitting them after they apologize to me, so we could reconcile and be friends all together. Exactly this happened, and my mom even took the seven of us to a theme park, to create a solidarity. From then on those boys were my best mates and they stopped bullying all together. I've learnt that its important to fight back, to show that you are not as weak as they make you seem to be. We cant always rely on other people to speak up for us without having the guts to defend ourselves by ourselves.

I was constantly bullied as a boy in school and outside of school. Its part of learning for children to grow up and learn to speak and socialize. So if you see it step in and train children to learn to talk and reflect by asking questions. Noone who has bullied me back then has ever done it when i got older. Some of the people have even apologized to me for doing it. How is educating children about sex at a young age and supposed choose able identity going to make them learn to solve thier needs and problems using language? It appears to me that it will fuck them up instead of training them in skills that are essential for living in a prospours society. How is gender identity or sex education at 4 a useful skill? I would think that the ability to socialize and talk is much more important in finding friends and at one later point in time love then knowing anything about sex, again at the age of 4? If sex is that difficult to learn how come most of the people i know are satisfied with thier sex life never having had the training that is supposedly important so that feelings aren't hurt. Again if you see bulling step in, thats it. Thats all you had to do. What else would you do?

THIRD GENDER It’s not just LGBT people but many cultures describe more than two genders. Basically saying that men/women can be anywhere from very feminine to very masculine. Just indicating there’s a wide spectrum and not forcing people into tight little boxes. Little children feel so much stress in trying to fit into these tight little boxes. And sadly many resort to suicide as they see no other way out. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third_gender …..

@@la90gaming19 WHO SPEAKS UP FOR THE LGBT CHILDREN, AND LGBT PARENTS? LGBT children are a part of society, and other children need to be educated about them so they do not hurt, and kill, other children. It can be explained in a way a child can understand so please stop the fear mongering. Children as young as 8 years old are committing suicide because of being bullied by classmates. Evidently they know all about LGBT people, learning from their homophobic parents. So yes, we need to educate children not to hate as young as 6 and 7 to stop these children from dying. Health experts say legislation like Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” bill can negatively affect the mental and physical health of young people. According to experts, when a person’s identity (or the identity of a loved one) becomes politicized and a point of debate, it can be dehumanizing, increase stigma and stress, and be especially damaging for impressionable, vulnerable young people. Stressed children can withdraw from normal activities, have difficulty concentrating, and have poorer academic performance. Suicide rate of LGBT children is already 5 times that of heterosexual children. Republican lawmakers do not have the slightest idea what it is like to be an LGBTQ child in this state. Instead of creating a school environment that nurtures, protects, and respects our children, Republicans would rather force teachers and school administrators to out students' sexuality and identity against a child’s will. The sad reality is that not all students will be accepted and loved when they return home in the afternoon. These kids are put at risk of violence and abuse, often leading to homelessness, poor educational outcomes, and self-harm. In the United States, every 45 seconds a LGBTQ child between the ages of 13-24 attempts suicide. As lawmakers, we should be drafting legislation that supports the lives of LGBTQ people, not writing laws that further jeopardize their safety. If you are LGBTQ or love someone who is, you should know that you are seen, you are valued, and Democrats are fighting for you! 9 year old boy commits suicide after his classmates tell him to kill himself because he is gay! It has gone to far - people with dicks shouldn't be allowed in female prisons and 4 year olds don't need to know about sex but the right wing hates these people on both religious and bigoted grounds. Being trans is not an easy path and the science is clear that adults that transition have a better life - I get the social justice warriors can take it too far but it is a real thing. This reminds me of Catholic schools here in Canada - they don't teach the kids about contraception or sex ed because premarital sex is against their religion therefore the kids must not be having sex. Best part is I have seen studies that teen pregnancy rates are actually higher in Catholic schools - maybe because they aren't allowed to use birth control hahaha. Not sure what is worse - the social justice warriors or the religious moral police. Best part is they are both cut from the same cloth.

Anyone who claims this is possible is the source of the problem and is teaching their kids perversion. I watched your first video. The first line from the reporter, at age 9, says he "already had dreams of becoming a social media star." That tells me everything I need to know about his home environment. No 9 year old should even be exposed to social media, at all (a study just came out today about this and was in the newspaper, as if we needed a study to know this). But this kid has already been exposed enough to want to be a social media star? That means his "parents" have let the media, the internet, and social media mess up his brain and heart. That's the real blame here. Because no 9 year old has feelings of sexual attraction unless they have been conditioned to have them. What's the best place to condition them? Social media. Next best - education, parents, and regular media. It's very sad that this happened. Any bullying is completely wrong, for any reason. But that's not the root issue here. The root is a morally bankrupt culture.

There are way, way, more gen-zers who are saying they are gay than any other generation. It's increasing exponentially. So yes, it DOES affect them to be told this is normal, and that's the problem with the "bias and bullying" strategy. It evokes sympathy, and curiosity, and normalization for something that never would have been there - at these young ages especially.

I wasn't brought up with all this crap in school, I've learnt about it as & when. That's how it should be. Thank god my kids are not in school now as I would not allow them to be subject to this.

This is going to become one of the most important issues of the immediate future . Our very young vulnerable children are being taught political agendas in schools without parental consent.

I’m pretty sure everything they’re taught is without parental consent 😂. Not like I can go, I want my son to learn about green plants and chicken nuggets and that’s it. I defo wouldn’t want my son learning RE but they have to because that’s what’s decided. Get on with it.

When I use to get picked on about my nose and the color of my skin I was taught stick and stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me. Some of the bullies started to respect me when they notice I was good at drawing The Flintstones, various looney toons characters, drawing Pocahontas and drawing caricatures of the teachers. Some of them got inspired and wanted me to show them how I was able to draw like that. I never picked on them when they showed me their drawings or hold what they did to me against them. Also, 80s and 90s action cartoons had great information on handling bullies and being kind to others. Go Joe!!!

My niece was bullied because a group of kids decided her dad dying in a vehicle collision was a good reason. My daughter was bullied because she was quiet because of hearing loss in one ear, I was bullied because I was new and from London, my son was bullied because the teacher announced to the class he has ADHD & the deputy head had held an assembly on this and informed the school that children with this and similar disabilities wet themselves regularly. One of my friends was shy, one spoke Italian at home and struggled with written English, another had Ginger hair, another loved rock music. 4 out of these people were known to be gay, not in of them was bullied because of this. But all of a sudden, adults start making gender identity and sexuality in children a big topic & a political talking point, so now there is a rise in bullying for these reasons. Well guess what, friends who have been gay and trans for decades & have lived openly and happily are now also facing hate and bullying. They now live with fear every time they leave the house. All this is doing is causing greater tribalism in the sociological meaning of the word. We aren’t being asked to accept and respect choices, we are being told to revere and make special allowances that put them above everyone else’s rights. Yes there will always be bigoted and intolerant people, but in the whole acceptance and inclusivity had already been achieved. Teach children tolerance of diversity, teach them to be confident in WHO they are, not what they are, teach them to love a d be proud of themselves. But do not teach them that they must fit an adult imposed label associated with sexuality. No child under at the very least 14, should be exposed to anything about sexuality and sexual styles. And I also think, if schools took children’s mental health seriously, they would all employ a school counsellor. One who listens and gently challenges, not one who affirms everything they say. If schools put as much effort in helping kids who have lost parents, who go home and spend the next 8 hours as a carer or abuse, then we might actually produce a more mentally healthy society of adults. Stop forcing our children to conform to adult decided labels. Let them be kids & let the parents handle their love life.

Pride parade themselves show LGBT as different, they claim to be preaching equality but they're not they're preaching to become a special class, how many exclusively straight parades are there? Especially funded by councils, it's hard to get a school walking day permit these days but pride parades are always granted one and funded by the council. This doesn't make most people favour the LGBT community it makes them sick of them, to agree with your point, this causes more division and tribalism.

Funny you say that, because many of the kids at my former school who were found to be gay were harrassed and, in a lot of cases, bullied. They even made a video of them harrassing them and calling them f*****s. Can you guess why they were bullied? Be my guest. It's not impossible for people to be bullied for being gay. We can decrease the likelihood of someone getting bullied if we teach children that different groups of people exist in our society and that they should be respected like everyone else. Also, I don't know if you know this, but children do have sexuality. Have you never had a crush when you were a tween? No one had to tell you that you liked girls and/or boys. The labels that we use for sexuality are categorisations because as humans we like to categorise things and phenomena. So yes, children at a young age may not know what gay, lesbian, or bi, or trans are (I certainly didn't until I was 8-10 yo), but in most cases they do know whether they like a boy and/or girls. Teaching them about these labels help them to know what they are. Teaching them about sexuality is educating them on people that they will encounter in their lives or even at their own classrooms. You can do allof the things that you proposed to help cans AND teach them about the people in their life that they will encounter.

Regarding bullying - a male person (as is the fashion to call people these days) leapt out from between a SUV and a van in order to cross the road in front of my car. To be clear this was not on a pedestrian crossing. I had to do an emergency stop. There was a distance of 10 to 14 feet from the person to the car at standstill. This male person then started to shout saying that I needed to have my sight tested and started to hit my car very aggressively. This person was aged 35 -40. I was an adult female a bit older than the male. THIS is an example of bullying among adults. It happens. You cannot put children into cotton wool and say that bullying and agression does not exist in life when it does at ALL AGES. We need to teach children how to deal with it and other problems that they will meet in life.

Clearly you didnt go school cause you failed to understand he was saying lgbt kids get bullied because of a lack of education from the ignorant kids and all the generational stigma passed down. Im sure straight kids get bullied all the time, they normally turn out being millionaires whilst the bullies end up washing their cars
