Where I'm from, we don't worry as much about the recorded temperature but, about the wind chill. We had a stint of -25 Celsius for a week a few weeks ago. Only then do you worry about the actual temperature as any wind will get the wind chill well below safety levels. At -6 you'll be a bit chilly is all . For a windscreen, if you can, grab a handful of snow and use it to scrub the windscreen. Snow is frozen water after all. Love the content. I have a son at Uni in Glasgow. Looking forward to the time I can come visit again (and when he can come home).

Again, Shaun, the unbroken continuity and rich, relevant content of the Scottish snow adventure are excellently executed. I appreciate how you add sparks of experience to the treks and their destinations through physical interaction with their essence, e.g., your reacting to plunging your hand into the loch's crystal-clear, bitingly cold water; your ice cracking or snow crunching as you trek--such are key parts of the sensorium of a real trip. Well done. Moreover, I appreciate you expansive use of scale, e.g., views of the trek's land from high in the sky to views of the waterfowl at their own level on the arctic beach. Finally, I greatly enjoy the off-theme incidents that occur on a real road trip, e.g., testing whether the solvent would freeze on the windscreen--plus that was a cool way to cinematographically dissolve to a close with you on the dark, snow-banked road in perspective against a low, steel-blue patch of twilight at day's end. Thank you for adding to our life experiences in a good way, Shaun.
