seems Nakamura is downplaying Dubov's genius, saying he would most likely do it as well, of course retrospectively it's easy for Naka to say this when he could've gone for the dry position himself in a tournament as opposed to this sacrifice...
@timvah48743 жыл бұрын
No, not at all, I saw two comentaries of this match. One from GM Shipov(Russian commentator, Dubov's ex-coach), one from Radja, and they both called this move as their first idea in live

This is just my opinion, and I'm sure many people will be angry and upset with me, but there is something severe that bothers me here regarding the analysis in this video: Why does Hikaru seem to criticize in a somewhat derogatory way and even a little arrogant to Dubov's new move against Karjakin, seeing him as if it was really easy to act normally against that in any game, even between GM's or as if he really easily took care of it? I mean, if the movements are new to the opening of the white pieces, it is not at all easy for the black pieces to move, attack, counterattack and defend themselves correctly against that if there is no theory, evidence, sightings, not even a clue, rumors. or whatever is written before what Dubov did here; Karjakin was literally not prepared for that (NOBODY was really), and not only did it take him by surprise, but it dislodged him from himself, his strategies in mind went to the trash can and even if he had defended himself excellently and removed a lot of problems over against White, I'm sure that Dubov, who previously DOES studied the possibilities of this new move that he created, would have taken care of that too, at least in a comfortable way. In this case, Hikaru criticizes Karjakin at times as if to indirectly say "But what are you doing Karjakin? Why are you doing/not doing that move or that move? Why don't you do what I think? I can do better. than him because I'm the best. Period, there's no arguing, because I'm Hikaru Nakamura, just for that. " This same strange attitude I see in chess KZbinr/Streamers like Ghotamchess (and not just once). And remember, it is a game between masters, THERE IS TIME RUNNING IN THE MIDDLE, therefore, it is even more difficult to make a good decision at the moment in the face of what is new in those movements of White. I don't know, maybe I'm just imagining things against Hikaru to make an excuse for his criticism, but I sincerely believe that the departure of Dubov Vs Karjakin was more than great, and that Karjakin defended himself more than great also to be the first person to He faces Dubov's new move, and of course, Duvob with that tremendous move that took us all by surprise and revolutionized an old chess movement from 400 years ago in a masterful way, he played just as exceptional, and they just want him correct both to appear to be better to everyone.

Isn’t the point of Qxg6 being a good move that it’s the best one? The second best move for white, which is very human, is only -0.23, so I’m not sure why Hikaru says it the only move that doesn’t make white “much worse”. It would be extremely easy for a human to play bxe6 and just figure they’ll try to defend a worse position. Even when he went through the lines trying to prove his point, white was never lost, just worse.
@gsan42513 жыл бұрын
He says it's much worse from a perspective of a human GM. Not an AI. Sure the number isn't that significant, but the engine is basing it off the top moves which GMs will not always achieve.
