the celeb builds are cool and all, but i genuinely enjoy seeing a friend get surprised by an upgrade or whole pc. the reactions are pure and priceless

I remember this build, was very cool to see it again. Although, I still believe a big aircooler would also look awesome sticking out of the 'broken' mesh/grill where now the tubing is coming out. Would also fit the theme very nicely, if you were to use a dark/industrial looking cooler.

My best friend is running exactly that. Not sure what air cooler it is exactly, but it is a dark one with industrial fans on it. Looks dope as hell :D

As a Destiny 2 nut, I have loved this build since the first time Jay did it (even if it is Warlock logo themed - lol - I'm a Hunter & Titan Mains) - it gave me ideas to do to my next/current build. Can't wait to see the next version of this if Jay expands it to a different case.

@@ReizokoRyu it is such an impenetrable game. It's like any free MMO, you get in and are just fucking lost in the currencies and activities. But once you get your head around it (friends that play can help) it can become a great game. Personally, if you don't have any intrinsic motivation to play I wouldnt do it. But if you do actually want to play? You can go quite deep into it.

I also recently upgraded to a MSI suprim liquid 4090 n a few other bits n bobs pay that bad boy forward this needs at least four thousand and 90 million likes... the reaction was indeed priceless loved it, hope to experience the same real soon. (looks at case need paint n skill love that case!)

My first AIO, the fans had to be installed on top of the case as there wasn't enough enough clearence inside for the the rad with the fans on. I used a christmastree bit and drill out the vent holes and it worked great. I loved how it looked too as the fans had blue leds and it was finished off with fan grills. I'd do it again!

Ahhh the 202. My first ITX build. Fit a 1070 mini and a 120mm AIO + some extra fans in it.Good temps, decent noise levels. Only thing I didn't like was the footprint on my desk. Really good case though.

this case was my last build, the 8700k/gtx1070.... that usb header, audio header and power board cable installation brought me back to those 20-30 minute nightmare scenarios. replacing fans was also a pain when i had a shuriken 2 had liek 3 fans die. never had i ever been so frustrated other than when i had to mess around in the engine bay of a pt cruiser.

revisiting old builds is really nice to see. interested to see performance after all the driver and W11 updates. also would def use a free upgrade the only reason I wouldn't would be for stability reasons but that's solved by having a separate pc for work.

Love this build. I have a Node 202 for my home theater PC. I like the size and layout but removing the bottom half from the frame is a pain with the number of plastic clips.

I watched odd videos of yours years ago when I was an overclocker after my friend at work kept on about you. At the time I was less than impressed with your knowledge but I keep dropping in from time to time and you have become a legit PC builder / guru. I love the fact you don't just throw money at projects anymore. I might do a SFF Heath Robinson build for fun myself, this has given me ideas.

06:15 - I still use one of those cases with these pass throughs (AeroCool Xpredator X1 Black Edition). It has served me well over the past decade, but will eventually be passed down to someone in the family, once I need to get a new case (drive cage → GPU size).

I've run my DDR5 at 6200 for a year on my 12900KF without issue. I've even tuned my timings down quite a bit as well. I've been contemplating swapping out for a 13900K and trying some of the new really wild 7200+ ddr5 out there

@@kaksidaksi3455 well there is PVP as well as PVE and small strikes with 3 players as well as big raids with 6 players, it's a super fun shooter/exploration game with a ton of content, I suppose the point is just to shoot aliens and have fun with friends

I don't know if someone pointed that yet, but the schedule problem was solved on Windows 10 after some updates and currently 12 and 13th gen Intel can perform as good as in Windows 11

Hey Jay! Actually Gordon from PCworld recently did an extensive comparison Win10 vs Win11 on Intel on his channel and he record no difference at all. So there's no any strong point to update if you don't want to. Please comment that video from your perspective✌️ So that difference is nothing more then a myth of the past at this point, hopefully 🤞

YES!!!! It is so awesome to see Marc get an upgrade. I still love watching that video. Now we just need Phil to redo the awesomesauce montage. These are the best ways of paying it forward. My BIL was visiting a few years back, talking about how he played SWTOR. And it really slow on the used laptop he was using. In 90 minutes, I had a full tower put together for him. Including a 29" Ultrawide 1080p LG monitor.

Well currently we have the 7700 non-X, which is not only quite fast, but also cool enough for the case. The 7900 non-x is good as well, but also a bit powerstarved on allcore load.

Love to see you’ve permanently adopted the LTT screwdriver…. Might only make a short, but would you make a quick vid saying how you like it after a couple of months? I ordered black shaft version and it should finally arrive in next few days.. can’t wait :)) Oh and by the way they updated the Win10 scheduler a while back, 22H2 I believe, you don’t need win11 for proper e/p scheduling!

The first time I've thought the dust contributed to the aesthetics of a build. Also, it's worth mentioning that PC World tested Windows 11 and Windows 10 with 12th Gen... and it doesn't really matter, just go with 10 and it'll be fine.

I have to admit that build was definitely my favorite as well! My kids get hand-me-down upgrades when I'm lucky enough to get something new for myself. My wife gets the occasional full rebuild, but she doesn't game so her builds can go for $500-600 dollars. We all know video cards worth their salt rarely go that low.

Cool upgrade for node 202 special build! Remember if thats the original pcie riser for node 202 its only pcie 3.0 and he may want to put a 4.0 later for direct storage api games etc

I think, a case that is personalised to you and your life, something like a 22inch Rim with a nice Tyre on it, water cooling could be like a brake master system or something. Something that reflects your life and personality would be cool to see.

My 240mm AIO is mounted externally. It's a Silverstone HTPC, so I'm limited on space. Works great though!

Jay, could you do a video discussing something like optimal timing to upgrade your system? Meaning if you hold off on upgrading your current hardware won’t be worth as much on secondary market. Hope I’m getting my point across. Thanks!

It is the stand off heights for the cooler mount that is the issue with the lga 1700 socket not location.

I still firmly believe that the space and portability options gained by going with an SFF build is not worth all the performance left behind without even mentioning the easiness of upgrading the components

Funny, the Corsair 800D AirFlow case has those grommet punchouts on it. Yea, it's not a "young" case, but it isn't "old" either in terms of Water Cooling. It's also a monster case with PLENTY of room for water cooling items.
