If you have the same symptoms from something different how do they know it's the drug causing theirs. Correlation doesn't mean causation. There are tens of millions of men taking this drug everyday and these post finisteride videos have barely any views to them. Tell you something?

@@WeanerBeaner69 Post Finasteride Syndrome is already recognised and there is official diagnostic criteria for it. The papers are online. There are also several studies going on in different countries, including USA, Germany and Finland + more, which are currently trying to find the root cause of this syndrome, in order to start developing a treatment and ultimately a cure. There are also findings that show significant disruption in cell gene expression. A study at the Baylor University showed that on PFS patients, there were over 1446 genes significantly over-expressed and 2318 genes significantly under-expressed. They also found abnormalities in the androgen receptor expression, basicly the receptors not working normally after taking Finasteride. As more and more studies have been done, we now have actual cold hard evidence of the physical damage that this drug has done. It's not about wether or not we believe this syndrome to be real anymore. The data and findings are there and only going to increase as the medical community is currently working on this issue.
Thank you for telling your story! You are so very right, hair is nothing compared to your life!

Thank you so much for the support. Yes, topical can cause this, too, unfortunately. It’s rare, but please don’t underestimate it. Here’s a video of a patient that talks about how he developed PFS after using the topical solution - m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/eprSZpqwq76ep7M

I’m 21 years old. Norwood 2-3 never done any treatment yet and I really want to start finastride. Thinking about getting blood work done as well as a semen sample before starting to see my base levels and then monitoring them throughout the time I’m on the drug. My doctor says it’s a good idea and I want to take the risk I can’t think of another option. I don’t want a hair system and I don’t want to use topical minoxidil because finastrdie is the only way to stop hair loss at the root cause. I feel like I need more reason not to use it. Big respect to the channel for spreading awareness but it’s so weird how doctors are saying it’s safe if there’s horror stories like this

Why in the hell does pfs only effect young men? Why don't the millions of people taking finasteride for bph at much higher doses don't experience pfs? They dont because theyre not being scared into being hypochondriacs
@Moral_Medicine6 ай бұрын
Glad to see this channel continues to live rent free in your head. Older men who take Finasteride for BPH have developed PFS. We’ve even featured one on this channel. Face the facts - because there’s no way to determine who’s predisposed to getting PFS, you’re always at risk of developing this disease as long as you’re taking Finasteride, or any other 5ARI. It’s only a matter of time for many, so be careful with assuming that you’re above developing permanent side effects just because you’ve taken it “safely” so far. Either way, thanks for continuing to boost our algorithm with your very odd obsession over a disease you apparently don’t believe exists.

They just get told "that's just you getting older!" no matter how bizarre their symptoms are. I am personally friends with an >50 year old man who is a severe case. He was on fin for around 20 years with only minor side effects, crashed hard when he quit due to said side effects with no prior knowledge of pfs and is now an entirely different person.
