I have this sitting in a box for 4 months, waiting its turn to be installed. I've been focusing on lift, supercharger and other under-hood accessories. I plan to change speakers and run new wiring for them, along with better amplification. Removable powered subwoofer, maybe? Thanks for helping me understand the duo antenna feature and available adapter. And thanks for the motivation!

Thanks to your video I installed a similar unit on my 3rd gen. Didn’t get the antenna harness but debating if I should. Also a question, my antenna doesn’t work but the motor does, if I cut the blue antenna cable would it stop the motor from kicking on and off every time I turn the vehicle on and off?

I believe so. The antenna is pretty easy to replace too if you wanted.

will the rear view camera work with a manual transmission ?

Yes. The signal wire gets connected to the reverse light. So it will work just the same on a manual.

How do the speakers sounds after installing? Every Chinese radio I’ve used has no internal amplifier and sounded horrible. I upgraded speakers and it sounded worse. Finally had to buy a name brand head unit.

It might be best to use an aftermarket 4ch amp on these types of head units to get good sound from the door and deck speakers

I just bought s8 ms last week. I haven't installed it yet, but I can't wait. I have 97 3rd gen 4runner. Have u tried the blue tooth yet for your phone? Nice video thanks
