As a retired driving instructor of many years, I never taught the test routes. Instead, I taught pupils coming up to their test in area's far more difficult. Then, I did mock tests on test routes. The results were amazing. Not only could my pupils deal with them easily, but their confidence shined. If they passed 2 mock tests in succession, I booked their test. I had 13 pupils at 1 point pass the test in succession. As a driving instructor, I was elated to be achieving this for my pupils the greatest job satisfaction in the world, but then it dawned on me that I only have a few pupils left better get advertising😊😊

I remember stressing so much about my test but as soon as the day arrived, I just became confident and actually enjoyed it. The examiner was easy to talk to as well so we were chatting quite a bit. Felt like I had been driving for years giving my friend a lift home! Passed first time with 1 minor (believe it was a hesitation coming out of junction which we laughed about because I then entered in a smaller gap). Goodluck to all those taking tests! They're not as scary as they say.

Congratulations mate. I’m a late starter. Started in November after 18 years of riding motorbikes (16 with licence and 2 on cbt) and aged 36 decided I need a car for winter so started my lessons. Done 12 hours got another 5 booked and have my test March 10th. Can’t wait. Nervous but excited. Passed all my mock tests which is a bonus.

That incident on the slip road was very similar to one of my serious faults on my first driving test. Live and learn and likewise Rumman will continue to grow in confidence with these situations like these. Congratulations to you both 🎉

The slip road is actually easy and typically all down to confidence. You need to merge in with confidence otherwise you'll end up waddling and slowing down when you shouldn't

I live in Delhi, India.. To be honest much of the driving discipline you teach in your videos is not valid in Delhi (car can come from any direction,lol people dont follow rules at all) but it has been really helpful for me to know how to drive perfectly.. I took all the nectar out of your videos to learn driving as per Indian traffic conditions.. Thank you so much! I was even able to correct some people I travel with quoting from your videos for the faults they were making while driving for which they could have received a hefty fine even in Delhi.. Thank you.. I trained my friend with the same way.. Raising hand and saying "STOP".. Haha.. gives me bossy feeling!

I m came to UK in 2007 from ludhiana. Now I m well settled here in London.i used to live in Delhi from 1999 to 2006. Driving is a skill here in uk. Passing a driving test here in not easy. It's like you doing 10th in INDIA. I remember I cleared my theory in 2nd attempt and practical driving test in 1st attempt with 2 minor mistakes

I never been to the UK, but i love watching your videos. If I ever visit the UK which on my bucket list, i got great UK driving tips. Driving in the UK is little different than the US. Your roads are narrower, and you drive on the wrong side (your normal side). It’s crazy to me how cars block the road so you have to wait till traffic clears to pass. In the US that would be an ticket, and you be towed.

When I was merging onto a slip road, I was slowing down to fit in behind the car on the motorway. Then they slowed for me so I picked up my pace but then they picked up the pace and it was just so awkward 😂

In this situation I feel that vehicles on the main road have precedence on speeding up. If you have a lower gear in use you can make it obvious you are speeding up and can also do so markedly. A lot of the time it isn't obvious whether vehicles are speeding up or not by looking at them for a short time unless they accelerate briskly. A good pre-test incident.
