I own most of the Milwaukee cordless tools but none of this compare to this one tool that I probably didn't even need. The Milwaukee 2447-20 so good and every other stapler is so bad that I had to make this video.
I finally found the perfect place to build the ultimate car guy compound. Tons of car parts, tools, and a motorcycle were left behind. So today we're going to sort through everything, throw a ton of stuff away, and start cleaning things up. A new house, a new shop, and a place to build cars better than ever before... but the house has some strange secrets of it's own.

---------------------------------------------------------------
Common Questions:
What motorcycle do I ride? A few. Ducati 1198, Honda Goldwing, Honda Grom, Honda Ruckus
What do I do for a living? Make KZbin videos.
Can you wheelie? No, I suck.
Are you fast? Sort of. I suck mostly though.
Where can I keep up with you off the bike?
Instagram: WatchJRGo
Facebook: WatchJRGo (or JRGo, FB hates my branding)
Do you go to school? College, for 2 classes.
Why do you ride so dangerously? What do mean? I was doing 25.
Do you go to the track? Of course, hopefully there will be videos in the future.
Do you play video games? No, but I might stream N64 Goldeneye at some point. Twitch: WatchJRGo
Are you afraid the police will watch your videos and arrest you? Something something evidence something something warrants and due process of law

Fun fact, Swingline actually never made a red stapler (they painted it for the movie) and eventually had to make one after the movie because people demanded it.

I’ve had the Ryobi 18 volt version of that for a few years now, with a couple of 1.5 ah batteries. I’ll never go back to a hand stapler. Zero issues with it tearing insulation or fabric, pinching wires, or destroying “printed” vinyl. Get the matching brad nailer if it’s on sale - you’ll use it more often than the staple gun.

I have a 50 year old hand stapler I inherited from my dad. It is the only one I’ve used that doesn’t fatigue my hands. I also have a plug in electric. It does the job ok, but makes the lights flicker in every house in my neighborhood 😂 Glad to see there is a good alternative.

Did flooring with my Dad growing up and we always used the hammer staplers for stapling whatever underlay. For stapling down it's fine, as gravity does most of the work and you get good at the rhythm and strength control after a while. There will always be the odd one here and there that will tear through the material, so I can see how that gets annoying for things like vapour barrier on a wall when you have to hit a 2x4 edge on rather than having the forgiveness of floor underlay.

I was a "telephone man" in the 70's, 80's, and 90's. I carried a truck full of phones, jacks, wire, etc and loved my job. When I started in '73 we had all manual tools so I drilled holes with a brace and bit and stapled wire with a manual wire stapler. All that to say I had to replace three jacks/wire in a south Florida home after hurricane Andrew and used an entire box of 1000 staples on that one job in one morning. Whew! I developed quite a grip from that! So man up!

Back in the late 90's I had a Makita 9.6 stick pack stapler. Then a few years later I switched to Ryobi, when they were blue, and got their stapler. Still have it but might need to pick up the Milwaukee when I need more batteries. Tech tip, don't use batt style insulation in the basement. I've done a few and the best method is 3" pink foam on the walls, then 2x4 framing laying flat masonry screwed with 2" pink foam in between. Quiet and moisture resistant.

I'm going to defend the slap style stapler here as I've set who knows how many thousands of staples with them at this point. First the difference between a cheap one and a good one is pretty massive. However experience is everything and there is a reason those are so popular in construction. Simply put someone experienced and put more staples in by an order of magnitude than any other form of stapler, especially battery operated. Also a good quality one just works every single swing. Now from a DIYer perspective, yes the battery operated ones like the milwaukee are likely a better option because they eliminate the skill factor and most DIYer's aren't going to be fussed if they can't drive in an entire box of staples in an hour.
@Nitrousbird
@Nitrousbird 15 сағат бұрын
A much cheaper option that likely works even better is an air stapler. I bought an Arrow branded one last year for $35. Used it for insulating my garage and it worked really well. Air line does get a bit annoying but for my typical stapling needs, an air one makes decent sense. I also figured that at $35, if it didn't work well, not much spent, especially since I'm on team yellow.

I didn't have the M12 batteries. I have the M18 and Ryobi batteries. Was doing a problem putting a new seat cover on my dirt bike. I've used my Arrow T50 for a long time. I had a pneumatic one, but is a harbor freight one and it blows. The hit from the pulling the trigger pops the sleeve loose and sends the staples on the floor. I opted for the ryobi one was 60 bucks. It has a slightly bigger head and is a little bigger, but I've used it a bunch. It works well. I use a smaller battery on it. Now I have the M12.... I'd pop for the this as a tool only. My choice was Ryobi for 60 or the M12 one + batteries at well over 200 bucks. Actually they are referenced to as crown staples. T50 is the size that was made popular for arrow and just is what folks call them. There are now options for whatever battery platform you own.

Hey, JR. Love watching the new home come together, I think I am excited as you are to see it move-in ready. I also want to take this opportunity to let you know, of all the youtubers I watch every day, it seems like the microphone on whatever you use every day is clipping pretty bad. That or how you're editing it, but it sounds more like a flattened mic. It became a lot more obvious to me when I got this amazing Power Acoustic 3.1 set up for my office. It's buttery smooth.

The Brass nut in the center, that is where the belt clip goes. Sorry that you didn't get one. I do agree that those PowerShot stapler does get a little wonky it not straight on, but you can do other kinds of staples, for like cable, where as the Mil. needs a whole other tool. But like you said, if your in the trades, then its worth spending that $$$$$

It's too bad you didn't mind the clip since that is a special clip they use on only a few tools. Most clips on the m12 drivers impacts ect are tiny and almost useless. The one that came with that one is much bigger and is also used on the installation driver. The worst news is if you try and get thoes clips they arnt solt separate and milwaukee won't send you one. Every clip on az knockoff or oem is the tiny one. I have people I work with offer 20 bucks for one of thoes clips because of the availability.

That said, for tools I don't use often, or very little, there's no way I'm not buying it from Harbor Freight. Pretty sure they have a Bauer stapler. I bought the brad gun and it's just fine for small jobs or how little I actually use it. Plus it's red, so it compliments the Milwaukee tools on the rack. Just sayin'.

Man. I have had so many types and brands of staplers, starting to consider myself an expert on the subject. For mechanical "squeeze" type staplers.(Arrow, Bostitch and DEwalt) DeWalts is the best. Lasts forever and even my tiny wife can use it. Mine is on 4 years old. Then, there is pneumatic (I have Bostitch, Stanley, Husky, and Senco). Also, DeWalt is my preferred. (sounds like I am simping for DeWalt but it's coincidence). I have used corded staplers, from B&D, Bostitch, and arrow. They ALL were horrible and would implode within 1000 staples. Never had one that lasted. Maybe it was just me. I of course have the slap staplers, Bostitch seems the best imo. Only ever tried the DeWalt one in that kind and it broke after around 10K staples. As for cordless. NEVER used one. But most my cordless tools are Milwaukee, and a few others. I kept telling myself it wasn't worth the investment as I don't staple enough. I say that after each project. Last 4 years I bet I put in 100000 staples in insulation, upholstery, etc. The projects where i need one keep coming. So I will invest into a cordless next job. AMazon for $90 for bare tool isn't bad.
