The GTR concept looks like a Batmobile that you would see in a Batman Beyond movie or a Batmobile from an animated series. It also reminds me of the armored vehicle in the movie "Aliens".

it'll be interesting to see if those gull-wing doors make it into production on the RX-7 concept. they appear to open fairly wide.. might be difficult to open them in a congested parking lot

I agree. Now is the time to buy a sports car as it is the last of the big power ICE with manuals. I think this is the best of the ICE and they will be worth a lot in the future.

ICE wont be completely phased out anytime sooner, only the fuels used will changed. oil companies are exploring biofuels and even using hydrogen as a fuel

Hyperforce was interesting. Hopefully next GTR has a near-Supra price point. Ionic Sp is interesting but given environmental concerns, rotary hybrid possibly? Definitely excited about new Toyota midship. I saw a magazine feature on it while I was in Japan last year. They are talking $80-90k dollars.

Gonna comment a lot of times, but the Skyline I don't know if I liked, I mean, it seems like a fusion of the new F05, the previous R35, the Lexus LFA (I miss you) and some tech inspiration, but yeah, it's a concept, so it's to be different.

Awesome video! And you're absolutely right! This is a bittersweet moment in automotive history. The future is hybrid and electric vehicles. I'm very disappointed in the Subaru booth I saw here. Considering my initial wish for a car after graduating as an engineer with hopes of getting into the automotive industry was a WRX STI, and finding out they are no longer in production, was a real slap into reality. They seem to be switching their direction and going into completely new designs that stray from the shape of the WRX. Which is fine. I really appreciate Mazda's steady vision of a rotary which is absolutely complimented by an electric motor also being introduced based on the space a rotary saves. A hybrid seems to be an evolution of the rotary while still maintaining its roots. I think its a perfect concept.

I’m convinced that Nissan is so broke from low sales that it’s the reason why the new Z isn’t that great (because Nissan couldn’t afford good R&D) and the R36 isn’t being made. They can’t afford to make good sports cars because they offered mediocrity. So, they’re going to make the R36 an EV since they can’t afford to make an ICE for it. Nissan is BROKE and it’s SHOWING

I refuse to own an Electric car, I don't believe in "Electric Sports Cars" Hybrid to me I wouldn't mind for an SUV family car but in sports absolutely zero chances. I heard it takes 7 hybrids for 1 electric car, plus to me, it's about control, not the environment.

with the exception of the Mazda and Prelude, most of these newer concepts are just downright fugly. Take the GTR and that Subaru. Were they inspired by the new generation BMWs? Horridly ugly. But I guess thats just my opinion coz we do see lots of these ugly cars on the road. And lacking any sort of aural and visual impact, I guess thats why the price of the old legends have gone up massively and they're staying there.
