I think another hidden good part of vexing bauble is that, since it’s 1 mana, you can lead a on basic which helps protect a sol land from wasteland for getting to 3 mana on turn 2

Wouldn't make a difference. Oracle puts the other Oracle in his hand which puts the last card in his hand. Other Oracle ability checks for devotion equal or greater than cards in deck which is still satisfied even if the Oracle is removed as both would be 0.

on match 1 game 1, i don't think they punted the game. They needed an answer to your board as double rabble was absolutely the only way to win and just didn't draw into any actual removal, cause had like 24 (maybe even more?!?) power of damage, there was no way your opponent beats you unless they had answers to your board
