I usually buy pedals for a certain purpose, sometimes it works and when it doesn't I fiddle with them to find their unique voices. I bought a MXR Univibe hoping to approximate a Leslie cab effect, no dice but I did find "Us and Them" and "The Narrow Way" in it. A little red Roto Engine nails the Badfinger and "It dont come Easy" intro. As far as the featured pedal sounds tweakable but I wont be hockin my Boss DD20 for one.

Hi, Robert, wishing you a very happy new year. I'm looking to buy a low wattage tube amp between 5 to 20 watts in power. I like the Blackstar HT-20R MK II and the Laney Lion heart 20 watt 112 combo. Which do you think in your opinion is the better amp?
@RobertWJackson2 жыл бұрын
Between those two I’d go with the Laney, but you should also check out the Randall RD20H, Marshall Origin 20, PRS MT15, and maybe one of the Marshall Studio Series heads of your budget will allow it.

Very informative Robert! You are absolutely correct, I wouldn't want that pedal at all. A very good video though. More people should demo things like this and be as honest about as you are. It would save less experienced guitar players some money if they knew what NOT to buy before they did it. Yes, I am speaking from experience. I did drop a lot of hard-earned money on rack gear back in the 80's, trying to get what the more high-end gear could do, only to end up selling it at a loss, and getting the high-end gear anyway. Thanks for posting man! Rock on!

Let's see... if cats supposedly land on their feet and they all stack on top of each other... because if they're falling and landing on each other I think that would just be considered a "circus act." If they're just laying on top of each other in a lazy fashion... maybe a "catnip trip?" Head hurts just trying to think of a solution here! It IS impossible this time! Good one. Thank you for the content, Robert. Have a great day.

Flamma do the FC03 mini delay that is a basic plug and go. It just has 3 sounds from the one in the demo, regular, tape and a faux analog. The tape is actually impressive. At $40 it is not a bad deal.

So many delay pedals out on the market now. I know alot of guys that still swear by the dd3 I can depend on it but i dont mind the tc electric flashback either. Carbon copys not that bad either.. but i dont have time or money to try them all

Loved the Cat...uh...Dog-Pile dilemma!! If I'm incorrect in thinking this is a pedal you have to play with to discover if it is actually something you can use? Second, and I've searched your archives but if you've done a video on it, I flat missed it...Are you familiar with the UAFX Starlight Echo Station Delay Pedal? I could ask you tons of questions, because you always take the time to answer them. I won't because I don't want to try your patience. Great Video, Robert!!! Please keep them coming!!!

Turns out he still didn't answer any of your questions. What a shocker!
@lostreb5 ай бұрын
@@chuckfriebe843 While he might not have appeared to have answered them to you, please take note of the statement "I won't because I don't want to try your patience." I'm pretty sure that is why he didn't answer the two questions in my initial reply. The first question was out of frustration because I just didn't, and still don't, get this pedal. I asked about the UAFX Starlight Echo Station Delay Pedal because I was considering purchasing one. Having said all this about all that...I have to say that when I actually asked Robert a very pointed question, stating my personal preferences and asking for his opinion based on all his knowledge, and stated the 3 amplifiers I was trying to choose between, he gave me the most informative answer I've ever received from "anyone" on KZbin...And...I purchased the one he said would give me what I was looking for, and not only was he 100% correct in his input...That amplifier is my favorite and the only reason I would ever purchase one of the others I asked about...Is well...Just a matter of "I want it" not one of what is my best initial investment (which is very important to me...If you spend $$$$, you want to spend them wisely...and Robert's advice helped me do exactly that.). So please don't dismiss him not addressing these "just throwing this out there" questions as Robert not giving valid and accurate evaluations when asked for his input if you are about to make a purchase. He's probably one of the best, if not "the best," at answering "real questions" like I asked about amplifiers, instead of my questions in this comment. Sorry this was so long. I just really respect Robert and do not want you to have a negative opinion of him because he didn't address this particular comment. He definitely addressed what was the most important question for me at the time, I took and evaluated his answer (he did not say buy this one or that one, but addressed my concerns on all 3 amps), and have never looked back!!! I value Robert's opinion. (Please also keep in mind that sometimes questions like the ones posted in my comment are for others to answer, not just Robert.) Just want to get all that on the record.

@@RobertWJackson Cool. I have a Caline Tiime-Space & that’s my cheapest pedal. It sounds pretty good … a bit darker than my Carbon-copy, but they work well together. What kind of drum-samples are you using? I hate my GarageBand drums and want to get different sounds that work with auto-drummer.

@@lostreb It's just a play on the word "flammed". The pedal is good for the price and what it does. I would be more inclined to the Flamma Ekoverb since it's very much like the Source Audio Collider which is over 3 times the price. You get a more sophisticated circuit with the Collider, but you pay for it. Better to have fun with low cost pedals maybe, but if you're serious about the music you create, you make a serious investment that you won't regret. AND BTW, The Ekoverb is STEREO!
@lostreb2 жыл бұрын
@@dawnr8511 Thank you for the reply and the information on the Source Audio Collider. I have a couple of Wampler pedals that the words, unhappy with, disappointed in are too negative, more along the lines of I was expecting more than I'm experiencing so far. I admit maybe I need to spend a lot more time tweaking them. I'm just researching all I can to see if I can find pedals I will be more satisfied with. Any and all input is welcome. Thank you again...
