While being considered as a melting pot ,the Philippines must not allow foreign influences that subvert and undermine the honorable heritage we have as a people. After the death of Rizal the American came over and intervene bacause of 7 years civil long war between Spanish and Filipino mestizo/Indio, they form rebellion KKK under Andress Bonifacio the second hero. The Spaniards ignored to the American intervention they said: We have "Treaty of Paris" then they American proclaimed war, war between Spaniard and American. The American Admiral, Admiral Dewey was then sharp shooter who kill the Spanish Governor of Manila. The Spaniards lost the war since their leader was killed, and the American won the war. The Spanish sell Philippines to America. America took over Philippines as US territory and colonized it for 52 years. (Stated in the book).
