@lowko, those 'glass tubes you were commenting about on Neon Violet Square: In the northern states in the US, it gets very very cold sometimes. We have what we call 'skywalks' which are walking tunnels that are one or two floors up from ground level to be above the cars that allow you to walk between buildings without going outside. The tubes look like those.

Burrow in general is very underrated, especially against Terran cause they use scans to advance the map.. Sure, would bleed out some units prematurely bit can also force a couple extra scans here and there to starve-out the Terran

These games where very much ByuN beating himself. Solar was surprisingly passive for all the early game even when he had the opportunity to punish ByuN's greed. Though Solar's Hydras where a big stand out for how he held in both games and how he pushed for both wins.

@LowkoTV I've been watching you for a long time, big fan love your commentary, and have just one question that always bothers me: in ZvT, why don't zerg make a few extra spores to reduce the amount of drop-banshee-liberator harass? I see all the pro players and they make just 1 per hatchery and sometimes spend half the game fending off air-based harass when i feel like spores are a relatively cheap way to prevent this rather than a home defense army and all the mental time taken up fending off the harass. Thanks for your commentary please don't stop. In 30 years I want to be retired, chilling in my home theatre, watching SC3 tournies while my robot slaves grill me steak and serve me mimosas.

I'm no pro, but I'd guess it's because if the area is covered in spore crawlers, they'll just drop the marines outside of their range and then run in. It'll buy the Zerg a couple extra seconds to respond, but that's several hundred extra minerals per line, minerals that could have gone into making more drones/taking new bases/expanding their army/upgrading etc. Also I don't think the spore crawlers are there to fend off air attacks, they're mostly there to detect widow mines so the queens can clean them up before they get a second shot off.

I figured El Dorado would get vetoed in most ZvT matchups. That 4th is ugly, the 5th is ugly... it's just a massive pain to defend against tanks/libs/bio/mines/kittens

Wish to see some shakeup in the matchups tbh, it's just too much around Marines every single game Something along the following lines: Scan : now costs 75 energy Liberator : Defender mode now also detects units. Upgrade is changed to "Disruptive rounds" => shocks and stuns psyonic units (temporarily) Combat shield : replaced with Synthetic uniforms - Reapers, Marauders, Ghosts and Firebats gain 25% Spell damage taken reduction Starport: all ships (except the BC) are now produced 3 seconds faster Zerg Microbial shroud replaced with Microbial enzyme: affected units gain +1 range and 25% increased movement speed for the duration of the effect (75 energy) New Hive Upgrade : Enhanced Ventriculae - Overlords can load up Spine and Spore crawlers (loading up takes all 8 transport capacity slots in the Overlord) Protoss Sentry - new ability : Amplify damage : link up 2 units and combine their damage amount rendering both units deal damage as the sum of both attacks (cannot be used in conjunction with abilities or special attacks). Channeled ability that depletes energy and activation costs 25 energy (casting and tether range between both damage-amplified units = 7) Research for Amplify damage = 150/150 at Twilight council (120 seconds)

The overlord idea is interesting. But the static defense needs creep. The cs change is interesting. Buff other units, not the marine

Exactly, buff other units than the Marine, and buff Starport in general while giving the Liberator a wider range of usages Defend, detect, harass, not just by killing Drones but also by stunning/disabling caster units (like the HT, Raven or Queen) Toss is mostly fine but I think there might be a bit of space to spice up some timing attacks mid-game or drops in the late (link up Stalker and Immortal and you have a 65 damage Stalker essentially) or say Archon and Voidray making a 40+ DPS Ray There's a chance that can be broken so the Infestor spell is designed for easier kiting and engagement 25% movement speed is much more useful than protection from air and the range increase might open up some cutesier more aggressive forms of Queen plays) It can be broken but the unit itself is relatively expensive and fragile so I think it's fair game (if proves to be broken with Broods or Corruptor - can just make it affect only ground units while still having a usage)
