Professor Walter Veith is an excellent teacher of Bible Prophecy. He explains many complex ideas, includes historic facts and comes to the most accurate conclusion about the third temple, about which many people are confused. It is far less important that a third temple be built, than that all true Christians must reconsecrate themselves to Jesus Christ and His declarations about what the temple must be, of which He is the chief cornerstone.

I think so also and the false imagine of Jesus is standing in it today. I am sorry Pastor Veith, but your exegesis of the Word is wrong if you cannot even interpret the prophesies correctly of the prophetic books of Daniel, Ezekiel, Revelation, Isaiah, Micah , Mathew, Luke, etc. The end time eschatology is biblical and not a Jesuit interpretation of the Word. Otherwise John would not have written The Revelation of Christ. Non of the things that is written in Revelation has happened yet . Please do not mislead the people with false doctrine. The World is moving to a one world religion with the ecumenical movement, a one economic system where one cannot buy or sell, ( under antichrist) , and a one government system. The Bible never mentions a "third Temple" on this earth. The Temple was used as a place for Sacrificial Atonement by which Jesus has replaced (Hebrews 8:13, chapter 10). God later destroyed the Temple 40 years later, which 40 is a symbol of completion. There have been no more sacrifices for sin since as there is no longer any need (Hebrews 10:18).

@Jim Bob MOST of Daniel has already been fulfilled. The king of the north versus the south is the Early Syrian wars between 274 - 167 BC, if I remember the dates correctly. Antiochus Epiphanies sacrificed a pig on the altar in Jerusalem to Zeus. EVERY verse in Daniel 11 already occurred. 1 Corinthians 3:16 tells us the Christian is the new temple of God. The Temple of the Old Covenant was used for Sacrificial Atonement, but now there is no longer any need (Hebrews 10:1-2, 10:14, 10:18). 1 Thessalonians does not give information regarding HOW to be saved, though CLEARLY states that the Lord's Day is the day of Christ's return. At THAT time, the dead, who are currently sleeping, WILL be raised from the dead. John 5:28 Indeed, the time is coming when all the dead in their graves will hear the voice of God’s Son, and they will rise again. Those who have done good will rise to experience eternal life, and those who have continued in evil will rise to experience judgment. So no, there IS NO third temple. There is NO Biblical support for such. John NEVER mentioned a new Temple. And He wrote right after it's destruction. Jesus was referring, as Daniel, that there were TWO instances which they both were alluding to. What Jesus predicted came true EXACTLY 40 years after Him. 40 is the number of completion. The need for Levitical priesthood is changed to Jesus (Hebrews 8:6). Matthew 28:18 I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Your perspective fails because you're attempting to make symbolic prophecy literally.

Studying incorrectly for long periods of time doesn't alter anything. Daniel 11 is HISTORICALLY recognized. EVERY verse came true ALREADY. Mathew 24:2 Do you see all these buildings? I tell you the truth, they will be completely demolished. This again is HISTORICALLY recognized as already occurred. What Jesus NEVER said is anything regarding a "3rd temple". This idea is forcefully injected. Verse 34 I tell you the truth, this generation will not pass from the scene until all these things take place. Matthew 24:15, which you quoted, points to Daniel 9:27. Daniel 9:27 The ruler will make a treaty with the people for a period of one set of seven, but after half this time, he will put an end to the sacrifices and offerings. And as a climax to all his terrible deeds, he will set up a sacrilegious object that causes desecration. People have interpreted the word "covenant" as agreeable. And half of 7 is 3 1/2. Antiochus Epiphanies stopped sacrifices for 3 1/2 years. Yet because there is no longer any need for sacrifices (Hebrews 10:18), no one can stop what is no longer needed. This SHOULD indicate that what Jesus said is not literal.

Because Israel was under Roman occupation and oppression, Jews considered their savior as an anointed one would rescue them from Rome, not sin. As word spread about the miracles Jesus performed, the Jews thought Jesus would be the messiah who would lead a revolt against Rome. This is why they welcomed Him initially as He rode on a donkey entering Jerusalem, and later turned against Him as He refused. 3. Matthew 24:6-7, “wars and rumors of wars” and “kingdom against kindgom”. The Jewish Revolt began it’s 3 1/2 years, or 42 months (notice the significance here) in 66 AD and lasted until the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD. During this time, there was the Year of the Four Emperors (69 AD). This is important in that it transferred the Roman Empire from the Julio-Claudians to the Flavian dynasty. 4. Matthew 24:15 “The day is coming when you will see what Daniel the prophet spoke about-the sacrilegious object that causes desecration standing in the Holy Place.” (Reader, pay attention!) Here, the key is, “Reader, pay attention”. Matthew was writing to a 1st century audience, NOT the 21st century audience. 16 “Then those in Judea must flee to the hills.” This points to the revolt in JUDEA, not the world. This literally happened already. 5. Matthew 24:23-28 has Jesus telling His disciples that there will be false saviors approaching, (the context still remains with the destruction of Jerusalem so far), and then begins to allude an analogy between the first and second questions they asked. As the false messiahs were those who would lead a revolt against Rome, Jesus would come differently. The false messiahs of the Jewish Revolt would be “in the desert” (verse 26 as an analogy), He would come in the clouds (verse 30). It is AT THIS POINT Jesus begins speaking about His return. The Christian teaching ignores the origin and background context of this chapter. When attempting to learn Hebrew origins, one must seek information from Hebrew origins. To fully grasp the Bible, one must read thru ancient eyes and learn how THEY perceived It. Many today have no correlation with the backgrounds of what was written or why.

I’m sorry but as I study Revelation, I read that there are 2 preachers outside of the Temple, who work to great effect, however when they die they are left to fester there. That would appear to confirm the rebuilding of the Temple quite a clearly. Apostle Paul wrote in Romans chapters 9 to 11 on the nation of Israel. He seems to be making reference to a section of Israel aka remnant who will be saved not because by automation for the sake of their forefathers. But that God have reserved for Himself 700 men who have not bowed down to idols(symbolically). The remnant will be touched to accept Jesus as their saviour and will definitely profess that indeed...Jesus was the one who comes/came in the name our the Lord. My concern also is that, are you suggesting that there is no second coming of Jesus? What is the 1000 yrs rein of the Messiah all about? I get you when you say we are the supposed Third Temple and I guess it makes so much sense taking into account the fact that Believers are like living stones, each helping to build the dwelling place of our Lord, the church. "... the prince who is to come." is not in Daniel 9:24-27. V26 talks of the "...the people of the prince." whom these people think is "The Anti-Christ." What they claim is that the "he" in V27 refers back to this prince. As a former Australian English teacher, I can say that the "he" cannot grammatically refer to a noun in a previous adjectival prepositional phrase When the topic of every verse is the Messiah. "...of the prince who to come..." It's just an aside. The KJV writers were the best grammarians of the day.
