That default $0 wallpaper (with the rivets and bolts) is the absolutely worst one a person can use. (I always use that for the interiors of my basements and garages because of how fugly/utilitarian it looks, LOL.) I think you're right about it. I guess whoever did that house couldn't be bothered and was like, "Whatever." I wonder why they didn't put in a default spiral staircase to avoid having the sim go around the outside???

That spiral staircase was added in a free patch (iirc it was the patch to prep the game for island paradise) and lunar lakes had already been made. So there’s no base game spiral staircases that ea could have used
