This one will be fun. I will save a panel to test compounds and pads....and other panels for technique. Stay tuned!

My 2006 IS350 looks like this even though I have taken good care of it. Scratches formed on it out of nowhere, maybe cats walking on it. I'll correct mine myself once I see how you tackle this.

Acuras paint has come along way in the last decade and a half. Honda/Acura was brutally soft back in the day
@TheBreakfastLover16 күн бұрын
Honda/Acura use relatively soft paint/clear coat. It's supposedly better for the environment but swirls just from looking at it. PPF and ceramic coating highly recommended.

I did some cars, trucks etc like that in the past. Always made me chuckle when a salesman would walk in while I was in process and you could see their mind was blown. So many black Silverados and Cadillacs.

I understand why they use salt on the roads but you would think with today’s technology they could find something that doesn’t eat cars, looking forward to seeing what you do with the paint, thanks Brian 👍😁

My salt neutralizer is 50:50 White Vinegar & Dist. water. Because of Cold Temps, the hose is put away, unless we get a warm day? Rinseless Washes is all I do during the winter. I have a multi-step process during the winter. My attached garage is not heated, but it stays above 40 degrees.
@chrisnelson347016 күн бұрын
Great job. Are there any other salt neutralizers you recommend? Also is it safe to leave it on the underside of the car?

Brian: Having content? Well if that's what you want, yes, When I had my car lot I found that guys made money either mostly retail or mostly wholesale. Me? It always held true. I purchased cars either direct from the used car manager, rental car companies, charity cars or the street as I had a retail location. Sometimes I got cars from the auction but they as as whole were not nearly as profitable. I retailed most of what I got and wholesaled maybe the handful that didn't work because they were either not the right niche for what I sold or needed too much recon. When I sold I used the auction half the time and I had dealers come to my place. I also had a detail shop in the back for a few years and THAT was a distraction as I ran it myself and didn't devote the time to buying and selling like I needed to. Just sharing how I rolled. I made a living, I did NOT get rich. In the early years it was euphoric due too all the cars that we now look at as collector cars. When things got generic and more sophisticated I lost interest and hung it up. Great presentation, Mitch

Looked like my parent’s Camry. Took me over 12 hours of correction. I wasn’t worried about how much clear I had to work with because I know full well that they had never had it polished before lol.

have you ever used “black wax”.. it’s regular car wax, that has graphite or black dye that gets trapped in the deeper scratches and makes them less noticeable.. i want to pick some up but not sure if they work or even last

I've not seen a road salt neutraliser before, it's not a huge problem in the Southern part of the UK to be honest, the road salt doesn't get put down too often. What alternative products could you use instead of a dedicated one?

Maybe Carpro Lift
