That's what I love about speedruns though. If someone lands that trick successfully, gets world record having done the trick, guess what trick every single person who wants to beat that record will have to do? Yeah, once speedrunning gets that optimized, that 1.5 seconds becomes *entirely neccesary* in the run to have a competitive time. Good thing its in the beginning of the run though, so you can just reset and pray you land it again in 2 or 3 minutes.
@3possumsinatrenchcoat Жыл бұрын
let's be honest, with some of these runs it's usually more like "0.2 seconds"
@Fakeblad9 ай бұрын
If you think about 100m sprints. Runners are winning at decimal points between each other, but when you actually see how much distance 0.5s or 1 second covers amongst professional athletes, it's pretty amazing. Same thing here really. 1.5s is actually more than you think, especially when you add those up across a single run.

Hello Mr. Anus, I just wanted to tell you that like, idk, maybe a year ago? I began entering a very dark place in my life. I was very depressed as COVID loneliness really began to hit; I had graduated college in May and the dreadful realization that the economy was sinking and I wouldn't get a job any time soon was really hitting hard. To compound all that, I had to move back in with my Dad, who was a really really shitty parent for the next year (like, he threatened to kick me out on my birthday sort of bad). Since then, though, I really took your words about 'no feeling being final' to heart. I got a good job in my field, not great but enough to make me hopeful I can move up with experience. I moved in with a friend and I'm actually in one of the nicest places I've ever lived now. And I met a sweet girl who's been so fun to hang out with and I hope to move in with her after I leave this place. So thanks for your words. They really do help those of us who are going through extremely rough times. I'm sure there are people who have it even harder than I did a year ago; keep your head held high because you're so fucking strong and at the end of it you'll rise so high. Thank you, Mr. Anus.

Thanks tomatoanus. I've been hearing that a lot, but this unexpected one really caught up to me for some reason... thank you.

Not gonna lie, the "No feeling is final" part really took me by surprise, but also really brightned my day :)

Learning all these speedrunning tips not only allows me to enhance my gameplay (just made a post on reddit where I kill Vice Overseer Burne and glitch through the floor of the second story using a vertical clip), but also allows me to skip those really boring moments in "Another Strange Visit" and after you get out of "A Crack in the Slab"

I literally had no idea that you could even kill """Rosario""" and even then that you could show the body to Sokolov. I have 100% all games in the dishonored series wth

No one will read it probably, but there's a story reason why the cart is there, in 18:44 So basically in the building there are two guests, both for the purpose of buying the killer machine. If we first take Sokolov to the cart, before killing Jindosh, outside of the building we can meet a person that's waiting for one of those guests - he came there by the cart; so it's not like the game thinks that we used the cart, but the cart canonically is there

I know you were opposed to pausing speedruns to explain glitches at first. But honestly I think it's way better this way, it's easier to watch because were not watching the speedrun and trying to listen to the glitch explanation at the same time

Bro what the fuck ... that mental health message you slipped in there was both unexpected and insanely helpful. Things have been so difficult. Thank you. You've earned yet another subscriber and a return of blessing. Thank you sir, Dios te bendiga ❤

Never thought I'd hear "bussy" on this channel. But I expected to hear bussy at some point today so it doesn't count.

I love these videos, I have been watching every video that Tomato has released for so many years and then this year fucking sucked, I feel extremely alone and down and I hate it. I get off work and none of my friends are available so I feel as if I am alone and I understand that it is selfish. It's been so long since I have been able to see my friends in person so it sucks so much. However, hearing the part where Tomato has a talk with us viewers is always uplifting for me. Hearing that I am not alone, that someone is happy that I am still here helps me feel better, and I hope it helps at least one other person who feels what I feel or even something different. You are all so very loved and I'm glad we are all apart of something special that helps all of us, genuinely happy that this is a great community and place for everyone.

I spent 45 minutes running around Karnaca before even going to the Adermirre Institute and speedrunners just sprint through that whole level in five seconds.

Your message really helps man. The woman I've deeply loved for six years left me and had her feelings change for another man in 3 days. I sacrificed a huge opportunity to have a lot better of a life because I'd rather have been with her, and she dumped me a week later. I also had my foot shuddered at work, and am not getting comp. So I'm bed ridden, more than heart broken, have one hell of a cabin fever, and all around hate every ounce of my situation, and am at complete rock bottom. Hearing that no feeling is final is the first bit of hope I've had in my life for a while now, and it really meant a lot. Thank you. Thank you so much.

Hey I know you probably won't see this, but I just wanted to say thanks for putting in the part about no feeling is final. It's been hard for me the past few years, and I always forget that message is there. It has genuinely made me feel better multiple times now. Including today. Have a great day, and thank you for the videos. Bright spot in mine.
