If the coach doesn’t have the self awareness to see that SHE is the problem, she certainly won’t see that Caitlin’s teammates are part of the problem. Coach has to recognize Caitlin is a born leader and capable of carrying this entire team, coach and management to the top tier of the league. Failing to recognize that, and building a team around THAT, will be this team’s (and coach’s) ultimate failure. It’s like benching Jordan in the fourth quarter of the championship game. You just don’t do that!

The big difference between CC and most of the Fever Team is that CC wants all her teammates to succeed, and thus distributes the ball accordingly. Most of her teammates want to shine like CC, and so take hurried shots. They do not expect CC to play unselfishly, so that they miss many of her excellent passes.

I realize that every player at one time or another isn't where they're supposed to be on the floor, Caitlin included, but for the most part and imo Caitlin isn't Lost. It's many of her Teammates that's lost. They don't know where to be, can't catch passes, doesn't know how to pass her the ball, or pass it back once she gives it to them. Coach not knowing how to run plays or call timeouts at crucial times. Caitlyn knows *_Exactly_* where she's supposed to be on the floor.

Yes I think Christie Sides unfortunately is not the coach for this team. Lisa Bluder would be a great coach and leader for the Fever. If you looked at how the Iowa girls handled themselves on the court, they were a working machine..I know they were a collegiate team, but guess what but they played like the pros.. If asked, I would hope Lisa would take the offer of being coach for the fever. She knows how to make things work, and treats her team like human beings! Its unfortunate Christie isnt.a.Lisa Bruder. Caitlin is doing a really great job..she's finding ways on how to work around these conflicts. She's super human, and has a great.mind on her and respect. I repeat, She has RESPECT! CAITLIN! This is new team still learning to play together. There wasn't an off season with a lot of practice time to develop plays, strategies and team chemistry. I thinks it's a little early for this stuff. I also think because she was such a phenomenal player in college the expectations are ultra high. I'm not defending the coach here. I'm sure she's not perfect and is learning as she goes too. I just think all the media scrutiny is way over the top. I'm used to this kinda thing as a Dallas Cowboys fan. But this? It's way too much.

I'm not sure if Sides holds back Catlin. It's more like Sides doesn't know how to use Catlin because Catlin is very unique talent and in a sense beyond Sides ability as a couch. Michael Jordan is a GOAT but Catlin has been carrying much heaver burden. NBA was well established professional sports league before Michael came to the league. Catlin has been establishing WNBA as a real professional sports league almost single-handedly. Also if a team gets the bottom of the league in 2 years in row. The first thing that management has to do is to change the couch. Did they? Lisa Boulder may not take the job but could be an adviser of IndianaFever with a reasonable pay that Fever can afford. When a team leads 12 points at the begging of the 4th quarter with Catlin Clark and loses, definitely something is wrong. Remember Catlin is the one who made South Carolina lost a game. That was the only 1 game SC lost in two years (or 3?) !

Not sure about coach because Bluder was done with the schedules and wants family time. If anything maybe they could hire her as the new GM. Hire Kathie Layden. Best coach in Indiana. The Fever need a teacher/developer to get the team on track. Layden has won 5 IHSAA state titles with one 3-peat and a back2back at a different school with a chance at another 3peat. Had 4 D1 players from a public school with only 600 students. One made the All Big 10 freshman team and another led the Big 10 in rebounding. Kathie was also nominated for national coach of the year in 2019. Her teams play an Iowa style game. If you play for her you better get your track shoes on.

The Indiana’s team management should look into some players that can help Caitlin wins the game. There should be a deep bench so that Indiana can reach a Championship rounds and all the hard fouls will not be towards Caitlin. There should be a player that can do some scoring when Caitlin is resting in the bench. Caitlin should also adopt some more physical training to withstand against some flagrant foul.

Sides has been clear about her strategy. She wants to play through Boston - not Clark. In the loss to the Sky, she said the goal in the last minute was to get it to Boston. It seems she is being influenced by the league players negative reaction to Clark. A coach cannot succeed if players have preference based on anything except excellence. I think Sides is falling for the league influence.

Solution Get rid of C Sides and get two Big players C and PF to help AB as they are being clobbered by big players such Angel Reese and New York Centers They get rid the two unhealthy players with the above new players as replacement .. Then CC can help her team mates with the plays such pick and roll She is good assist leader which they can ave of 30 points just through assist which are easy basketball Team can set up double screens for CC to shoot 3 points or use to feed assist game.The previous game with Chicago there a lot opportunities that were missed because of no screens were provided for CC by her team mates either the coach C Sides had not instructed her players to get those done or she did not have idea how to do the double screens

You are equating coaching pro basketball with coaching college basketball. I’m not saying the college coach wouldn’t be an excellent pro coach, but not every successful college basketball coach becomes a successful pro basketball coach. Also, I know a young man who played Summer G league basketball here in the US and then went to Europe to play. He said they practice a lot more in Europe. College teams practice together five days a week and also play games. It sounds like the pros don’t practice as much, and if that’s the case, they aren’t going to gel as a team so quickly as you seem to expect.
