NIDHOGG VENOM* short hand explanation: in poems referencing nidhogg venom was used in a similar manner to how the elivagar woud have venom that would poison the tree roots. In the poems referencing elivagar it is explicitly said that the venom congeals into rime, which can be used to conflate the meaning over to nidhogg. It could be that venom doesn't necessarily mean snake like venom, because if nidhogg were referencing a voracious ocean current instead of a literal snake, (like you could analogize most of mythologies to their objective realities), then instead of actual venom, it would be what kind of venom an ocean current could carry which could be many things, but the simplest would be the salt that it contains, which would act as a toxin to the tree roots.

An idea I've always had is that Warland (where Elbaf resides in) is an archipelago, similar to Totto Land. Maybe the different types of giants (Ancient, Yeti Cool, Wotans, possibly Buccaneers & Oni, etc) reside on different islands, each of them parralleling different realms of Yggdrasil in Norse Mythology. Maybe the Wotan (Giant-Fishman hybrids) live under the Treasure Tree Adam just like how the Fishmen live under the Sunlight Tree Eve. Meanwhile, the Elbaf royalty could live on a sky island atop the tree just like how the Celestial Dragons live atop the Red Line.

If the Eve tree goes all the way up the redline (theoretically) and its roots still reach fishman island, the Adam tree which is closer to the surface could have its roots go beyond the sea floor to a potentially massive reservoir of water

I have some INTERESTING thoughts about the eve tree. It's so weird and odd. But it's also crazy cuz the mangrove roots from sabaody also reach the sea floor. And that wud maybe imply that rhe eve tree was similar? Cuz that's the only natural sea water tolerant tree, but the eve could be special or that's where a few interesting ideas come into play. Something funny was that the eve tree is basically a fiber optic cable with heating haha

@@Parvision- but the trees at sabaody are just doing what mangroves do. They just have long roots and trees that stick out of the water. It makes perfect sense when you know that the one piece world is sinking and the trees could just be growing taller to compensate for each rise. they could have just been normal mangroves before everything started sinking. It is presumable that the Sabaody trees werent always that height. The Eve tree is different. It's roots transport light, and it has presumably always been that height (at least 10,000 meters). The Eve tree is truly one of a kind. The other possibility is that the WG was trying to clone Eve using clippings, which became sabaody. That's why they release their weird unique bubbles. It would be like the smile fruits created off of devil fruits. A poor impersonation, but an impersonation nonetheless.

That's interesting. I think pyrobloin is important for something else especially since oda specified the keratin aspect. There's 2 directions I can think of that make this important and neither are technically important for the plant growth. 1 of them might be related but since oda actually canonically introduced cloud seeding and discusses it in the sbs, and yet this cloud is a fossilized cloud that never creates rain. So I say all that to say its not out of the question but I'm thinking the pyrobloin/keratin stuff was important for possibly a mythical reference

Have you heard of the theory that the Giza Plateau used the flood season to power some sort of machine that involved the pyrimids? Just as Franky's ship weren't built with the intent of violence, just as the Eternal Flame should've been a beneficial energy source for all instead of being solely for the ancient weapons, Impel Down originally being used as a desalination plant but being turned into a man-made hell makes so much sense. This video is actually insane. I've always felt like the world of One Piece in its natural state is actually the home of the giants rather than all the other smaller humanoid races. In ch 612 The Eve tree is confirmed to have the ability to transfer and emit light. GreenBit has huge plant life and is likely a part of the Adam/eve tree.
