The mean waiter in San Francisco was a man named Edsel Ford Fung, at a restaurant called Sam Wo’s. He actually appeared in some travel guidebooks. The head chef takes the cake though, she's so hostile and looks at and treats people like they've just taken a dump on her table lol. In China, the more straightforward the owner is, usually the better the food it gets. We usually don’t have the “how’s your food so far” kinda waiter or owner, but when the owner be like “tf you want hurry up” usually we know the food will definitely be premium. Still apply to restaurant in the west when I moved to London, the only difference is that their Google review is horrible due to most westerners consider that “rude”.
@tomasmendezdiaz9833Күн бұрын
Well some of us like to be treated like shit. When u used to being shit then it doesn't bother u because u love it. We like respect no need for ur emotional stupidity to bother me. Besides I am paying for this food, for u, for the restaurant I deserve gratitude. Now different culture different attitude but service should be a priority if u don't like it find another job or a place where there's more like u. Now it goes both ways I can also choose not to eat there and give u a bad review.
@KylesaystuffКүн бұрын
@ is not exactly treating like shit, cuz obviously that’s not acceptable. Is just that we are more straightforward and getting into the business, usually in Asia we just want good tasting food, the waiter don’t need to smile at us or compliment us cuz deep inside we know that’s not what they want anyway, but as long as the food is good is all fine. That’s a culture difference between the west and the east, also in Asia there is no such thing as entitlement, the owner and the waiter have the exact same rights as the customer despite we are paying cuz that’s what it supposed to be. (We also don’t pay tips if you do they’ll 99% reject you) Where in the west many restaurants can still have high review if the service is premium even if the food is mediocre which it’ll never happen in China. The West also have the idea that customers is always right which I kinda disagree. (Although I understand the logic due to western tipping culture) Asian Restaurant is very different, what you’re saying still applies but more like flights, hotels etc.

@@Kylesaystuffa lot of people over here really do have that “I’m buying your food you need to treat me like I’m your boss!” mentality and I will never forget my first job as a waiter/busser for a local dine in.
