I'd imagine it was all they could've done back in the day. I think Kazuya never had any reliable non-CD tools for pressure that didn't leave him with crap frames till he got ff2 in tag2 and ff3(?) for 7, don't quote me on that though I still suck at playing him lol.

There are really good South American players out there. It's a shame it's really hard to get out of their respective countries to play due to visa requirements and money. When I was younger there were arcades with people playing Tekken really competitively, the things over here is that we have the same culture as in Japan where we have to get good with every single coin we put into the arcade because in poorer areas you can't afford to buy a console so you make the most out of your limited time that you have. It's a great arcade culture to have in a kind of middle of nowhere world.

Those who played TT1 or up to this time has a different approach to the game compared to those who started after the version. The mishima during those times are the main characters and requires dash cancel movements with lightning upper cuts and forward kick or 4 as the usual punish together with devil or heihachi. His doing well conflicts with your argument. If he got his movement from tag1 and used it to excel in t7 then movement is important in t7
@jinogre42545 жыл бұрын
You didn’t understand what I said. I can’t help you there but I will try. One game (tag1) emphasizes movement. Imagine in Tekken 7 if every character had a ss like lili and a backdash like eddy. That’s how most characters movement is in Tag1. Tekken 7 has far more restricted movement (smaller backlashes and sidesteps compared to Tag1) of course walls also. Tekken 7 has crush system so you can push buttons in situations that in Tag1 would get you killed you also have armor moves and more gimmicks. This Tag1 player has good fundamentals bc that’s all that game is Tekken 7 has so many shiny toys so most of the player base doesn’t learn the fundamentals like Tag1 players had to.
