Have you ever modified a fence charger to pulse a little quicker?

No I don't mess around with that. They're built to pulse at a certain speed for both maximum charge build up for the discharge as well as safety reasons, so I let the engineers at the manufacturer set the pulse rate.

Is it true the new parmak solar 12 does not have the test sequences that the earlier models have?

Yes they got rid of that function. They only had those functions for about 3-4 years.

I was wondering what brand are the square Capacitors and are the polarity specific like the round capacitor it replaced ? There was a big lawsuit over bad capacitors a few years ago.

I don't recall the brand I used, but I bought them on either mouser.com or newark.com. The original capacitors that Parmak used to use didn't have a polarity, but the junk one they used there for a little bit did have a polarity. There isn't a polarity required for the main discharge capacitor for any brand of electric fence charger.
