Thank you for sharing your journey! We’ve been wanting to keep growing our family but the outside world and extended family have no problem letting me know I’m too old at 37 Almost 38 and selfish …. I’ve been praying and your video randomly popping with your story gives me great hope ❤🙏🏻 Not sure where you are but if we were close I’d totally be mama friends with you 🫶🏻

We can be mama friends here! Are you in North Carolina by chance? A lot of folks feel that 38 is too old to have a baby. But honestly, it was the best time for me to have one (I also didn't even meet my husband until I was 32, so there's that factor also). Since I was of "advanced maternal age," I was able to see a genetic specialist, and she reassured me that 38 is a totally normal time to have a baby. But I will say that even though it was a great time in life to have a baby, I definitely don't have the energy I did 10 years ago. 🤣

I just found you and I am so happy! I am having my first baby at 36 and want nothing more than to be a homemaker. I've been working full-time for what feels like my entire life, so it's so nice to find someone I can relate to on so many levels.

Thanks for the reminder am a mom of 3 and can totally relate that it can be lonely sometimes. I stay off social media and protect my mental health

Staying off social media is a great way to protect your peace. I spend just enough time on IG to post recipes/tutorials. The less time I spend there, the better I feel. I don't have many tips for remedying loneliness in motherhood. But it does help to know that we are not alone in that feeling. Thank you so much for watching!

Hey there! I recently discovered your channel and I have been enjoying watching your videos. This video really resonated with me. Society often overlooks the importance of motherhood and homemaking. I can totally relate to how isolating and lonely it can be. Making friends as an adult in middle age is challenging no matter what your profession, but especially if you stay at home. Good for you for starting a KZbin channel and putting yourself out there. Do you have a video on how to get started making sourdough? I would love to start trying to make it, but it seems complicated and overwhelming. I would love to see a beginners'guide to sourdough. Thanks for sharing this. Looking forward to more videos! -Lisa

Hi! Thank you so much for watching. Making friends in my 40s is wild, especially because I'm starting to feel like everyone is much younger than me. Haha! Yes! I have sourdough resources that might be helpful. I'll leave some links below. But I'm also always here to answer your questions. On KZbin, I have these videos: How To Make a Starter: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nnfLpqmKfaySa9E Starter Q&A: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKm9ZpKFaa-DqdU No-Knead Bread Tutorial: kzbin.info/www/bejne/inSwf4KFrbimj7M Over on my blog, I have a growing library of recipes and tutorials, but the classic sourdough boule is a good place to start: moonandmagnolia.com/2023/11/04/no-knead-sourdough-bread/ And I also have a free beginner's starter guide you can grab here: moonandmagnolia.ck.page/5732f62b3d If you have questions, let me know!

Oh my goodness you are speaking to my heart! I'm a first time mom at 41 and just left my 20 year career to stay home. Wow is this lonely. I'm trying to figure out how to build community as all my family and friends are on the opposite side of the country. I don't use social media other than viewing youtube and boy is it difficult meeting new people.

It's definitely a big shift transitioning from working to staying home. I also don't have family nearby, so I get how hard that is. Now that my little one is in preschool, it's been a little easier to meet other moms. But I definitely wasn't prepared for the social challenges of motherhood, especially at this age. I'm glad we can connect here! Thanks so much for watching! ❤️

I am both a professional woman and a homemaker. I worked from home and raised my boys for 13 years before beginning my career. I love the identities that both give me. I make 90% of our meals at home, garden, raise goats, etc. But I also work 40+ hours a week outside the home. It is all about balance!
