I purchased the Blazer EV RS AWD in June. It has been a pleasure to drive. I do suggest that Chevy updates the later releases with faster DC Charging and a bigger battery pack on the AWD model for people who want to take road trips. I love the smooth comfortable ride and it is quick enough, even though I know there are other EV with way faster acceleration. I have seen a few glitches with the crash sensor and the screen going out, but that seems to have been fixed with the last update a few months ago. All in all, the only thing I would have done differently would have been to lease it, instead of buying it.

Traded our 2022 Mach-e Select for a leased Blazer. Software issues in the Ford were worse, and after 2 years none of them had been fixed and OTAs stopped. The Ford started confusing remaing range with distance to next charger - car just freaks out saying you can't go anywhere. At least the Chevy will recognize compatible Superchargers and add them to your route.

Have it for hardly 6 months and ours has been in the shop 4 times for "high voltage battery" errors with different issues including a full battery replacement after getting bricked the first time. A certain % of vehicles on Ultium platform (Lyriq, Prologue)are plagued with similar issues.

I got mine after the stop sale and the only problem I had was a bad tail light which they replaced free! But then the insane flipper door over the charge port quit, which everyone expected, and I had to park the car while I waited for the part! I have tried shutting off safety to stop the insane beeping but some still remain and the brakes jam on when backing on loose gravel and twice while backing out of my garage! I love the car but there are too many cute things and I loved driving my Ram P.U. When the charge port was blocked so I could enjoy Apple CarPlay! Chevy must go back to building regular cars instead of gimmicks!

Have test driven several EVs and the Blazer EV is my favorite. Did not purchase as want a bit more elevated seating position, and perhaps it's good I didn't. But a friend has owned the related Cadillac Lyriq for several months with almost no issues except for weak air conditioning, which is supposedly being improved for 2025.
@craigs348 сағат бұрын
We went with the Blazer in July because of the weak AC in the Lyriq (Apple Valley, CA); our backs were damp after the test drive, and we had the seat cooling on and tried EVERY adjustment for the AC.

I have a Cadillac Lyric with Apple CarPlay. The GM new in-car google system is decent. I have not had any issue so far. If I have any in the future, I will post here. I also don't use CarPlay much. When using the in-car google map to navigate to a charging station, the car will precondition the battery for fast charging.

@ my issue is the subscription based motives. I’m not paying for something that my phone already has and other cars offer. GM has been ahead of their time pushing subscriptions with the stupid north star bs for decades. It’s not surprising they’re the first to try to force everyone into more

@Jay-bw3fl yeah, except Android auto isn't that great either. The lexus my father has uses wireless aa, yet it doesn't connect automatically like it's supposed to. I've had my RS rwd for three weeks. Wi far its been nearly flawless. The only two issues ive had is it randomly braking because of anticipated collisions and losing audio in the infotaiment. Being the first person in Maine to lease or buy one in March, shortly after the stop sale was lifted and the system was updated, I have to say, overall, it's not a bad experience. I went from a 2019 Volt Premiere to the RS edition Blazer EV and while at first, I hated it because it was SO big, I got used to it rather quickly. Yup, no Apple CarPlay is a nightmare at times. Why Chevy Why???? Give us the option! I've learned to live with Google and it works fairly well. Sometimes though, it can't run commands because AT&T service around my home is spotty at best. Why did they switch Onstar from T-Mobile? The overall ride is superb though. Smooth and amazingly quiet. The backing up and the system doing a hard brake when there's nobody behind me - yeah, that's happened a few times at a parking lot at my favorite Chinese restaurant. Why? Plus the system sometimes thinks I am going to slam into another car when I'm not so the big flashy red alert comes up on the HUD and the seat vibrates. I've learned to ignore it. The noise maker - yup, it's loud. So much so that with the windows closed, you can still hear it inside the cabin. My neighbors can hear it almost a block away! Everyone knows when I'm coming home. The seats - SUPER comfy! I'm 6'5" and a hefty dude and those have gotta be one of the comfiest seats in a car that I've ever sat in. I could do a long trip without any back or butt issues. Range - I haven't had to go on a long trip where I needed to charge on the go, but i have to say, it has some good mileage. Overall, I'm happy with it. I wish it had a better sound system. It kind of sucks. Especially coming from the Bose from the Volt. This thing sounded like a tinny AM radio. Such a disappointment for a flagship EV. Do better please!

Just got one from the same dealer as Edmunds. Agree on the safety system (but at least I can turn it off) and the car sound at low speeds is so dumb. The way they optioned this car is weird. Supercruise should be standard. And you have to get the cheaper trim to get a sunroof. Makes no sense. But I'm loving the car regardless. Agree on all points about the ride quality. It drives way better and faster than it should for its "powertrain". And I really, really like the Google system. The charging integration is second only to Tesla. Speaking of, having the ability to use Tesla superchargers is awesome. I would never pay $60k for it but you don't have to. They're discounting them so much, I'm leasing mine for less than I'd pay for an Equinox. It's significantly cheaper right now than the Ioniq 5, EV6, or Mach E. That's a no-brainer.

I thought about buying an EV this past summer but decided against it because I live in rural east Tennessee and places to charge are few so I decided to put it off 3 to 4 years and let the infrastructure grow and also to let the development of EV's progress to the point where they are reliable and cheaper so I ended up buying a new truck for $32,000. I want an EV SUV or Truck but the problems with the EV Blazer and other EV's is the reason I backed off! EV are not ready for prime time!
@ruffmadman5 сағат бұрын
If you can charge at home, infrastructure is almost a non-issue. Unless you want to road trip often. That said, it's always good to wait until you're more comfortable. But for me, I have charging at work, so the EV experience is amazing.
