It isn't the world that abandoned the women. It is the afghan men who have. Especially those in the afghan army and police who walked away instead of fighting the taliban
@maseehwardak60554 ай бұрын
We had no choice, taliban are afghans, it's the first time in the region's history where the illiterate rural population took control of the nation. Urban educated population is extremely small and stands no chance against the villagers if they choose to fight, and years of war sparked the rural people to fight and takeover. Afghanistan will recover but it will take a very long time. Fighting against the taliban is almost like fighting the entire nation, America knew this, that's why they left. And afghan women, especially those in the villages don't really know what a free life is like, so they don't talk about it. In the cities, people are going to neighboring countries or other countries for education.

It is always worth trying to help a country or an individual struggling. Because we can not be sure if the help will make the difference in their lives that saves them and they deserve that chance. But at some point, with that country or individual, in time it becomes their responsibility to further build on the help they received to improve their own lives. If you help a drug addict get clean, support them for a time, provide training and counseling you want things to be better for them. But if they return to bad ways, and even worse ways once you let go of their hand a little, that is on them. Look up the story "The Bridge" by Edwin Friedman. This powerful story holds true in global situations as well as individual ones.

After twenty years of trying to support a free and open Afghanistan, America had to leave. The withdrawal was a complete and utter disaster and a mess, but they Couldn't stay forever. The amount of money been poured into Afghanistan was incredible, and it was not been dare I say, appreciated or used effectively by the people of Afghanistan. Many countries tried to help build Afghanistan but let's focus just on The United States. The US roughly spent $2 billion dollars EVERY WEEK FOR 21 YEARS!!! That's insane. If Afghanistan couldn't work with that level of support then I don't know how they'll ever have a chance to work. Too many people in Afghanistan didn't want the free and open country the world was offering them. The majority of the army was an absolute joke. It was hard enough getting them to come on the days and times they were meant to be there, let alone do anything effective. That would be constantly be high on opium. The military of Afghanistan is the reason why it collapsed instantly. I feel very sorry for the people who did care about the country that put in the effort that tried to build something, but the majority of the people did not buy into this dream and therefore the country has defaulted back to this barbaric way of running a country. Overall, the majority of the men of Afghanistan have let down not only their country themselves, but their women. How can people go from treating women with respect to not ingest the case of a year or two? People don't change that. quickly like that It seems that the respect wasn't always there. I've watched these youtubers, they need to stop putting money in the hands of the Taliban. It's very sad, as many of the people there seem wonderful, they have heart. However tourism like this needs to stop because like the ones going to North Korea, they can't possibly show the actuality of what is happening there.

Too bad, when they had a chance to stand up and be counted, they continued the same old ways. Notice that Ms Nehan still covers her head. When you are liberated, you throw off your shackles. Before the war in Afghanistan, I had many women friends who would cry in their beer for the women in Afghanistan, the minute we went into Afghanistan they were suddenly quiet. Don't make that mistake. Don't commit someone else's child to a military confrontation unless you are willing to commit your own. No luxury beliefs please.

The first 12 minutes is just endless repetition of the same message. Sorry but I had to say it. Anyhow, the people of Afghanistan knew all about the Taliban from previous exposure. And yet, the government was so horribly corrupt eating up American money so the Afghan armed forces, poorly paid or often unpaid, gave up and abandoned the armed forces in droves. They must have thought that the Taliban would take better care of them. Also, the people distrusted the Americans. Perhaps they thought that the Taliban would bring in Islam in its pure form. Well, this is what it turned out to be.
