these are the best item to sell on ebay. you can find these regularly in thrift stores and garage sales everywhere. selling on ebay becomes easy when you focus on the right items. reselling is an awesome side hustle that can even turn into a full time income.

Whether it was the estate sales in UT or from the few I’ve gone to here in NC, they are the best. But, even better when a family run estate sale. Last year I went to one in Wilson NC. Went twice and spent about $300. The house was being sold and there was “junk” everywhere. I told them I could come clean out the house for a fee when they were done, but they said they had it. Two days later, they called me and said they had gotten a 35 foot dumpster and wondered if I’d be willing to help load it up. So I agreed if I could take things they were getting rid of. I spent maybe 12 hours over a few evenings doing the labor. And it was pretty much only me. But I also brought three pickup loads of stuff home for “free”. This far, I’ve sold over $1K on eBay and FB MP. And still have a lot of stuff. Even if I never sold another item from there, that’s about an $85 per hour job. But I will still sell a lot more. Want more stuff? Think outside the box for resourcing. Do the grunt work others don’t want to do. Pays off well. Love your videos.

Get most of my stuff from online auctions pennies on the dollar. Goodwill and another favorite place to find little gems is in my son’s closets as they are grown and gone. Plus purging my closets at home. Thank you for the valuable information. I will continue to tune in.

I mostly get things from thrift stores. Not too many garage sales currently here in MN. Summer time, I try to hit up some garage sales, but mostly thrift stores. I've sold a couple of those Bosch stand mixers. They go for great monies! Nice items!

Depends on the season. This past winter I've sourced items from multiple thrift stores, facebook, & nextdoor and occasionally estate sales. Prior to winter I was hitting up garage sales and will continue to focus on those again as they come out of hibernation along with the previous mention sources.

I am jealous. I use to sell vacuums, food processors, stereos, etc....or their parts when things went sideways. I can no longer buy the big or heavy items due to injured back 3 years ago. Done with that. I have had to switch to high profit items that will fit in the palm of my hand. There is NO competition for the big and heavy product and tons of competition for the smalls. I sure miss buying everything and anything. SO MUCH MONEY to be made. Keep spreading the word. I need dealers to go for the radio and leave jewelry alone till I get done.

When we go to doctors appointments we have specific thrift stores we like to go to in these towns. I live in a very small town so our doctors are in hour drive away. By thrifting this way a regular Dr appointment becomes a mileage deduction and as well. And since we are still learning it prevents us from buying too much as our time is limited some what as well. Then we have some local thrift stores as well but this year I am really excited to do some garage sale shopping on the weekends as well. Being in a small town the garage sales are really good when we have them. I know there are other resellers around me but I feel fortunate that we are not oversaturated with resellers.

Hi, enjoying your videos so much! If you have a chance sometime, could you please make a shipping video. I was just wondering how you ship larger item such as electronics , receivers, video equipment that is big and heavy. Packaging so things do not break would be super helpful. Thanks, congratulations on all your success.

I have only been selling for about a month. Small to medium items nothing large. If my shipping cost shows $6-$10 I’ve just been figuring $10 into my selling price and offering free shipping. Which way is better? Free shipping or setting a flat rate and charging shipping? I have enjoyed your videos and I’m learning! Thanks for all the great info and tips.

You lose money on shipping passing on the discount. You’re charged fees on your shipping. Shipping a receiver usually required more then you’d expect in materials. storing the materials has cost as well. If you don’t make a margin on shipping you’ll eventually go out of business or realize you’re making far less then you thought when you run your numbers

Hello from your "old friend" in Sedona! Nice meeting you and wanted to tell you, that day I actually had a remote control in the car ready to be shipped, thanks to the advice given in one of your videos. So, I have a challenge for you next time you're in the area if you're up for it... When I lived in Utah I had the blessing of Desert Industries and good old fashioned yard sales. Here in Sedona, every thrift shop, yard sale and even Goodwill is extremely overpriced. I'd be curious to see what your techniques would be like in an area like this...

Jride, I appreciate all the hours you spend on your videos. You could just shut it off and make more money reselling (Tech style). Hopefully you are making enough on YT to justify the massive hours you put into your videos. I get my items from my basement and garage. With three adult daughters I have used clothes for days and days. I would never thrift clothing until I get rid of my own used clothes first. I have enough clothes and items around the house to last me another 30 days before I will be forced to start sourcing. In DuPage County IL where I live (one of the richest counties in IL) there is stuff for days and days to get at thrift stores. However, they do jack up the prices around me at the store so your best bet is to get items from garage sales. Rich people dont have garage sales (they just donate there items). The Blue Collar neighborhoods have the best garage sales. Estate sales near me charge Ebay prices until Sunday when they offer 50% off (they need to dump or donate the last items and usually the left over stuff are large furniture items).

Do you fully test all of your stereo and AV receivers or just see that they power on. If so, is there a quick way to test each unit? If you do not test, what is the return rate?
@immaresellit
@immaresellit 3 ай бұрын
I’m pretty sure he fully tests them. If you don’t fully test them then they should be sold as parts/repair. There is no quick way to test them because there is so many ports and if you skip some and the buyer discovers some of them don’t work and it was advertised as fully tested, you could have some problems. Not sure what his return rate is, but it is generally low. Good luck

My hesitation on selling electronics is the fear that they won’t work. Especially if I don’t have the proper cables or cords. How do you deal with that?
@immaresellit
@immaresellit 3 ай бұрын
There will be times when electronics don’t work. It’s just the way it is. But the fact that most electronics have a superior sell through rate and sell for nice profits will make up for it. Not having the right accessories, you can likely sell it for parts/repair. It really depends on which item you are talking about. Even for parts/repair it’s probably still worth picking up if you get it cheap enough. Good luck 👍🏿

How do you ship big items like vcr or bigger, flat rate or calculate?
@immaresellit
@immaresellit 3 ай бұрын
There is no wrong way to do it. It’s completely up to you. If you decide to go with the flat rate model, there will be times when you make a few extra dollars with the shipping and there will be times you will lose a few dollars due to shipping. Example: say chicago to ohio (make money). Chicago to PR lose money. If you do calculated shipping you will need to put the weight and dimensions in the listing up front. Flat rate, you don’t have to. Good luck 🙌🏿

I sell printers that can be between 20 to 50+ pounds. It takes a good amount of packing material and time to pack these larger items. You've got the wrong mindset. It's called shipping and handling for a reason. That amount charged is to cover the packing supplies, the shipping cost, and the time spent packing an item securely so it makes it to the buyer undamaged. That is a skill that not everyone has. And when it's done correctly it takes a while. That's what you're paying for
