This is when kids need to get tonsils out

Adults may have had their tonsils removed when they were young, but when is it time for today's children to get them removed? Mercy Medical Center pediatrician Dr. Emily Wisniewski said there are two major reasons why it might be time for surgery. Wisniewski said it may be time to see a doctor for an evaluation if children persistently have a runny nose, difficulty eating or swallowing or a red, sore throat.
