To all who are new here, welcome to my valley and my cottage! Today I wanted to take you on a little tour of my favorite places around my home and cottage. I was spending this week foraging new growth mint and mullein, as well as enjoying the delights of spring (the Spring Beauty flowers, in particular). Experiencing the seasons, especially spring, in my rural home is always interesting, providing endless delights.

What I have learned from this channel: it's ok for life to be slow, it's ok for life to be boring, it's ok for life to be simple, it's ok for life to be fun, it's ok for life to be easy. Yes. Agreed. Although, I don't see how this is boring compared to city life with a daily commute, 9 to 5, then dinner and browsing Instagram then falling asleep. Exploring nature and learning about it, is far more interesting an intricate that is possible to imagine if you never life's in it for an extended time. I used to live like this as a child and it's actually anything but boring. When I lived as a 20 something tear old in a city and all my friends wanted to do was go out drinking... I felt, now this is boring 😂

When you’re alone with deer, they’re the cutest, most curious creatures ever. I was on a walk last summer quite early in the morning, just as the sun was rising. A mother with her two fawn spotted me. I expected them to run away, but they slowly but surely crept out onto the road with me, feet away trying to sniff me. They’re just the cutest 🥰

I'd assume it's bcs there, they aren't constantly hunted for sport by us monsters, humans. To them, she is a part of the forest, and they reacted as if they saw a squirrel or bunny.

I was homeschooled and spent most of my childhood travelling with my family for my father's work. I was a quiet child and mostly everyone remembers me reading or looking for books. I read so much that I didn't spend much time in the real world and I found it hard when I had to go to secondary school for the first time for six months. I didn't understand certain behaviours, people thought I was strange, I thrived in art class, I read all the books in the library and made friends with those who were seemingly outcast. I saw beauty in things that others didn't even notice and I realized that I was never going to be accepted into the world if I stayed that way. I forced myself to dress a certain way, not ask people how their heart was feeling, I stopped creating art and only spoke the moon, trees and flowers when I was alone. I slowly found myself becoming what I thought I had to be to survive in this world that can be so cruel at times. And then I found myself alone again, changing hadn't made me easier to experience. My essence would ooze out at times, my fingers would doodle on important documents, loud noises would scare me, my anxiety became a real issue and so now, at the age of 25 I've accepted myself as the fairy loving woman who feels things a little bit deeper than others, who touches things to connect and still secretly peaks into wardrobes in hopes of finding Narnia. Your videos remind me that I belong. Thank you ✨🦋

I think it is because the shots are too short. It does not correspond with the overall slow rythm of these videos. Just two, three seconds more to each picture and it would be fine. Some I would omit completely. For example the one of the door handle when Paola returns home. The door closing is sufficient. Just a few seconds of closed door would be fine.

I think these videos bring a lot of people peace because deep inside, part of our souls know that these are the things in life that are more natural and meant for us. Living in a loud box, working 9-5 in an office, along with all the other modern expectations is so unnatural and inhuman in a way. Humans were meant to be with nature. We were not meant to be productivity machines like we are today . I respect people who work hard and there are many amazing advancements that wouldn’t be here today if people didn’t do many of these modern jobs, but I personally feel so much better when I go see nature and I hope to one day live on my own land in the woods and be at peace.

Yes, technology and economocal growth and all that has been beneficial in many ways but for some reason it´s like mankind never has a sense of enough is enough. For instance we could have used the increase in productivity to work less but instead we just kept going full throttle. Working like crazy to buy stuff we don´t need to impress people we don´t know who´s opinions doesn´t matter anyway, just to keep up with some made up definition of a good life. Also it´s scary how far we have removed ourselves from nature, some people can just barely point out the most common trees, plants etc, i mean shouldn´t that be basic knowledge for everyone?

Yes.. Her channel is so relaxing & soothing. I watch after work if she uploads to wind down my spirit. I live in Pa & the surroundings with deer & nature is very similar. Its good to appreciate this on trail walks.

For many of us your videoed life offers an escape from our reality.... we are stuck in a concrete jungle and our second homes (the parks and countryside) have been overrun with people since COVID appeared and commutes were cut. Places outdoors I used to consider my home are now filled with litter and random joggers (nothing against joggers!). I had planned on escaping to the country but the pandemic has made UK property prices go crazy and the homes I once found for sale are no longer available as 1000s of others are now trying to change their life to be more country led. Then there's the extra challenges around those with loved ones who have been forced to share one house due to age and health issues. Life for many is challenging and harder to reshape. I find a glimpse of hope in your videos that at least someone has found peace and contentment in life, and that’s enough for me to feel happy. Thank you x
