Hannah, You are such an incredible person! As a mom I am so thrilled to hear that you’ve decided to set some boundaries on sharing your personal life. Your content is always beautiful and interesting. Please don’t feel pressure to reveal anything that you are the least bit uncomfortable with. Your privacy is non-negotiable. 💕😎. Congratulations on the new place! It was meant for you!

The reality, though, is that privacy can be seriously compromised in the social media world. With a wide internet presence and the availability of public records, to assume privacy of a real estate transaction is really naive.

The great thing about gardening is that even if you let it go for a season or two, you can always replant. Your grapes and strawberries will come back year after year. Just throw a layer of compost on top of them in the spring. That is so funny that the previous owner wanted to come back for her garlic.😂 As a gardener, I understand that.

Reliving my youth, through your videos. Got married at 18, moved from the city, to the Ozark Mtns with no water, an outhouse, shack for a house, a box of dishes, and a box of clothes. I forget sometimes how much we did, and progressed, and watching you refreshes my memories and the love I have for this lifestyle of 48 yrs now. Raised our girls, and granddaughter on this 50 acres, and built a ranch style home, half acre garden, orchard, berries, chickens, pond with Canadian geese that come back every yr now. Use to have milk cows and a business of selling garden veggies, eggs, milk, and 2 kinds of cheese. You ARE so happy, and so genuine, so passionate, kind, and beautiful. Thank you for sharing with us, your life, dreams, hopes, and everything else in between. Blessings to you precious. 💕🙏

FREEZE the tomatoes. EASY! just put tomatoes in a zip lock freezer bag and put in freezer. No need to blanch or prepare. Then in winter just put them in a pot with no added water and simmer. Cook them down and I put an immersion bender then pour it through a sieve to remove seeds and skins. Pour back into pot and simmer to reduce. Add garlic, basil and season however.

Sounds like a good idea if you do not want to process all tomatoes at once. If you preserve them as pasta, then when you get hungry, all you need to do is open the jar. Depends on the person, I guess.

The previous home owner has no right to come on to the property to harvest anything, it's almost like you telling her I have the right to access the money I gave to you, If you don't nip it in the bud she'll come after the house. People like that look for young people that are inexperienced in real estate have a say in their old home. It's like buying a fruit from the farmers market and the farmer tells you what you can do and what you cannot do with the fruit, even though they took your money. you have no right to tell them what to do with the money, but they can tell you what to do with the fruit. Again nip it in the bud or else it will become a problem. they will start showing up at your house if you don't.

Just want to say there’s absolutely nothing wrong with your parents helping you out with purchasing a home. Especially in today’s real estate climate, and for people around our age. It’s tough! I don’t even own a home I rent a suite and my town is soooo expensive so I probably never will! And that’s okay. But I don’t want people to watch this video and feel like shit if they’ve accepted help from their parents. It’s okay man, we all get by however we can. Keep doing you and don’t ever feel bad about how you got to where you are if you’re not hurting anyone to get there!!!

100%! Really important to remember earlier generations weren't challenged by the maket the way we are today. Buying a home, getting a loan, insurance, living off a regular salary was ALOT more attainable than it is today. Don't ever let anyone shame you for any help you can get along the way. It is NOT a contest, and family, community, friends, supporting you is really important to value, to also partake in as giver and also receiver to sustain the circuits of positive social reinforcements we need as human beings. There's nothing wrong with wanting to be selfsufficient, but there is such a thing as being too proud for ypur own good and creating negative energy and distance due to vanity and ego in regards to these things. Life isn't always about proving yourself at every turn. And I think you Hannah get that. Because although you have alot of initiative, independence and grit you are also accepting and seem very able to adapt and roll with what's offered, figure things out and grow as you go. That looks differently for everyone of course, but you and everyone else needs to ignore any judgement made on you for embracing and accepting what life and people willingly offer you. Those voices are only destructive people who don't have yoir best interest in mind, and are likely quite miserable themselves. Whether it's co-signing or inheritances or anything else, it's also nobody elses business. But I think it's good to point out that we all at various points can do best with some support from others whether it be with legal issues like loans or bank guarantees, or practical assistance. I think Americans are generally more challenged understanding this, in most other continents its deeply understood that nomatter how you choose to live no (hu)man is an island, we are a part of the social knit of gebeeatiins before us and after, and striving to be a perfect superhero is not only rediculous, it's inhuman, some psychopaths may be successful yet they're never great role models lol. Also: good choice keeping your private relations offline 👌 I'm gobsmacked by your new property! It's absolutely lovely Hannah! Best wishes to you, I hope you'll be happy here, being creative and learning and sharing one way or another, for many many years to come. ❤️❤️❤️

Well, since you're interested in this subject. She did already say that she paid for the properties herself, the closing, the proof of funds etc.. That is all her. Co-Sign is just a signature obligation for asset protections for the loan security. With 65k cash down payment on my 89k property, we still needed Ma' to sign, if we miss paying the house on time, the bank will take the house before they will capture Mom's assets. About HELOC's. Never take out a Heloc on your equity, and if you do.. Pay it off before 10 years is up. Mistake #1 for numerous home owners.

Hey Hannah! I live in a 60’s style cabin in northern Canada. As we approach the colder seasons I figure I should say something. Just a fair warning about the cost of electric heating- it can get very expensive very quickly- make sure your flume on your wood cook stove is shut when not in use, as your electric heat will just go up the flume and right out of the building. My first two winters cost me literal thousands to heat with electric heat- I had to fully replace my wood cook stove for an actual furnace style. I highly recommend oil heaters to lower the general cost of heating if it’s not in your budget to change out the stove. It was a total rookie mistake on my part, but I would hate to see someone experience what I went through.

I also live in a 60’s cabin in Ontario 😅 Ours is well insulated though. Floors, walls, roof. I burn wood 24/7 from October-April but I also have a ductless air conditioner/heat pump installed because my place has no duct system. It’s electric heat and new and I find it extremely efficient because it only kicks in when the heat from the wood stove isn’t keeping the temperature up. With that being said I live in a small square footage so it works for us. The air conditioning all summer is surprisingly efficient as well. I got it for my dogs when I am gone at work all day because it gets really hot inside here.

It's all so beautiful! A complete dream! From one fish mama to another, when there's big algae blooms, it usually means too much food or too much light or both. The koi probably eat different bug larva already that you don't see, so you could try feeding less often or in smaller amounts. UV sterilizers are fairly cheap and can help with too much sun exposure if that's a thing too! The green water won't bother the fish as long as the water parameters are fine.
@Jess911able
@Jess911able 2 жыл бұрын
Such good info! Please also look into any pond/water plants to help control the algae. Algae will take over if there is no other competition from other plants. I have read that koi will eat most plants so it's recommended to have a little mini pond full of pond plants to clean the water and having the water circulate between the two.

This home is just so YOU! I am excited to watch what you do with it! I can see why you fell in love with it, it has the feel of a rustic cabin but with all of the amenities. It's absolutely beautiful! I wish you didn't need to have to prove things to the naysayers, ugh, that sucks, but I guess it goes hand in hand with being a KZbinr. Keep shining your beautiful light, Hannah. You are an inspiration to many. Sending you love & light ❤️🌈

This looks like the most incredible property! Congratulations on the purchase! Its so beautiful both on the outside cottage country vibes and inside has lots of character. Amazing that so much is already set up and left for you like the veggie garden and trails. I would also be so stocked to ride on the lawn mover it would totally make the task 1000x more enjoyable. Also LOVED all your op shop (thrift store) finds. Enjoy your new property it will be an amazing place for hosting and having friends over x

I just want to say, whilst I understand that sometimes you feel you should, you never have to explain, justify or clarify anything to anyone! Love it! I just found you tonight on here, you sound so much like me, but I am 61 (female) and still doing all the stuff I can possibly do without any help. I had a mower like that and had a blast on it until the day I ran over a green crab who was trying to cross the lawn, but I accidentally scalped the top of his bod off, he was fine, ticked, but fine, since then I would take the mowing slower (beans). Since you love gardens and flowers if you would like to start a butterfly meadow to help them, I have milkweed seeds and some flower seed favorites, so let me know, if you happen to read this. Enjoy life, stay safe and keep being independent, it is a great asset to have. Cheers!

Wow that house is ah-mazing! Love that kitchen...the farmers sink and cabinets. I love that table your using and bench...keep that instead of an island... it’s unusual and fits better with your style. The stove is awesome. Baseboard heat is the worst, it’s going to cost a fortune in electricity. You should do a furnace with radiator heat...so cozy. I’m really excited for you Hannah! Wow, you are truly amazing...what a rockstar! I love how independent you are!

What a beautiful place and that desk “to die for”. Love the family room -study-or tv room whatever and that great couch..you did really great Hannah..love the fountain little too running made me have to pee….lol. Great house..love the cook stove in the kitchen… I have always loved a kitchen wood burning cook stove…..great heat stove especially if power goes out during a snow storm…great bathroom…love claw foot bath tubs… lol… I thought I saw a garden when you first started showing the house…great looking..the little pond is precious…the sound of the water hitting the pond sounds really nice. That’s a lot of work keeping the pond clean..what happens in the winter? I am so excited can’t wait all the things you will do to it. Love that garden…I see you also have solar panels… I am so excited for you…

Oh girl so excited for you...first thing you need is a for real wooden step ladder that you can keep in the house for projects and to set plants on, second is a metal cart to haul furniture from truck to house...I just turned 73, live alone and I'm still moving furniture in by myself, you just learn how to do it...and put a rope around those doors so they don't break off, but shit happens...take your time, don't do a huge garden, you are one person, learn about it before you plant it. I see many herbs and wild flowers, never cut your milkweed, the flowers are so exotic scented and your monarchs will love you...so excited for you, but you need a dog or two and a cat...you are a homesteader now and you need an alarm system(bark bark)and a mouser...I laughed at your desk move, I just lifted a shelf unit on top of a table in my garage the same way you did...hey, it works...so many adventures, so little time...

Congratulations, Hannah! So impressive to see a youtube influencer that truly works hard and deserves the success they have. I can tell you really appreciate what you have accomplished and dont take anything for granted. You also are really smart to have used your earnings to invest in property and not blow it as fast as you earn it like I see some youtubers do. You are also wise to keep your personal life more private. I love your new home and it's really cool to see young people who still appreciate antiques. That desk is a gorgeous find and even though I dont have many antiques myself, I would love to own that! Also love the new home you made for your mouse. I would love to have that home, garden, chicken coop and the trails to hike with my dog and the cabins to rent out and retreat to when I wanted a little change of scenery. And the van to trek down to Florida in the winter for a little beach time. You've built a great life for yourself.

I worked just like you when young. I was so strong. I ran marathons for exercise and stress relief up to age 50. Menopause hit, and my running days were over. Do what you can when young so as you age you’re only maintaining. Only my two sense. I’m 71 and bike ride, walk three-four miles and maintain my home. I’m healthy and happy. That’s what’s important. You go girl! Enjoy your channel

What does she have to do for maintenance to keep the algae from coming back? It’s not like you can put algaecide in it since the koi fish are in it.

You are SO BLESSED ! I absolutely love this place and looking forward to your projects here and the other cabins . Your friends and others can rent the other ones. You can still keep making them nice while you make that your home . Look into jarring your tomatoes and garlic. I can see the pergola. With the grapes and a day bed to chill with lights etc.. The pond needs more filtration. A nice little bridge over it or the creek . I love that place .

I love your videos and I have some things to say. I was sad when I saw the video of you buying this place because I love the other place so much but now that you are showing us around some more I think it's great. I love the new house and cant wait to see it full of plants! I am hoping that you keep both places and I can't wait to see you do more projects. You are so amazing at figuring things out and going for it. I'm am super happy that you are making enough from your videos to keep it going and make even more awesome videos. In the future I think you will be canning lots of wonderful things from your homestead. I'll bet you get those chickens and introduce us to them. You can show us the ins and outs of running the homestead along with more home projects. Maybe you'll start learning to cook some awesome foods harvested from your land. I'm so excited to see what is to come and I still hope you don't sell that other property!
