When I was a kid me and my buddies used to dress in full camo head to toe and egg cars and use flour bombs. A few of use had guilly suits and we egged some cops and they stoped and of course took chase, I got tangled up in somesticks and tripped and was screwed so I just laid as flat as possible and the cop almost stepped right on my face. I could see his boot lace pattern and scratches in his boots. I spent 1hr45 mins laying there. I was only about 40ft into the woods from the edge of the road. Soon as the 2 cop cars pulled away I ran back to my house and there was all my. Buddies chilling on my couch thinking I got arrested. The cops in 4 surrounding districts still hate us to this day and pull us over for just about everything. Good times.

Tunnel vision is a crazy thing. I remember doing a active shooter training day when I was still active duty, we where using sim rounds with our m4s and blanks with the 9mm. The scenario was some how 3 people snuck onto base and was shooting up the defac bla bla bla. anyway you would be surprised how much you miss when adrenaline is coursing through your body and you are getting shot at or looking for someone hiding.

Ghilie suits are effective because most of players don't pay much attenction to terrain. You can lay down in camo under feet of most players and they won't notice you (I was once laying down with Camogrom polar on snow behind one line of stones that was bearly cover and 7 people went almost over my head [and I didn't noticed them till they start shooting] because they were too focused on building near me). I can tell you that ghile suits are not very effective on people who know forest and are on guard

its not just the suit itself, its the setup of the suit as well, adding local vegetation and some sticks/grass to better blend in. takes some time but a properly setup ghilli is worth its weight in gold. In the Marine Corps, for training they would make their ghilli's out of burlap sacks sown onto the camouflage uniform, and use that to easily attach vegetation to.

@@tiputipu777 The Ghillie suit is am affective camo at close range taking higher advantage over the terrain than normal/digital camo that is only affective at long range by breaking up the users outline from long range, the more detail the closer they can get but the more hyper situational it becomes. Now as for the use of actual camo and stealth skills there are many skills needed to be used to be affective. 1. It must be relevant to the situation - check. He was using it in the wooded area while moving quickly along the road. 2. You must remain still - check. The human eye detects movement at any range. Him keeping absolutely still except within their blind spot just made them think he was a bush until under direct scrutiny which he quickly took the enemy out. Which leads to my next point... 3. You have to trust it without relying on it - check. He trusted that under quick inspection he would pass as a bush or piece of greenery, remaining still it allowed their minds to fill in the blank of bush bush bush while rushing past. If your not expecting to see it you don't see it. But he knew to be wary when the person calmed down and actually began scanning the environment at close range to long range.. Many more things fall in to line with this rant on stealth but i think i made my point. If a nooby was handed this they'd use it inappropriately. At the very least relying on it at close range because they saw a lot of videos like this. They would let their guard down and not move, seeing a guy scanning and go 'oh im a bush their not going to notice me..." Wrong... They would move when not looking forgetting they can also hear. Also one more point. 4. He only made noise when he was certain his cover was about to be blown or something was masking his sound unless there was no one but his target in earshot. Anyone who saiys the ghillie suit is unfair obviously never used one because it takes a lot of skill to pull off only allowing minor advantages unless you know what your doing. There's plenty of ways to handle it in revive situations like this. 1 keep together and within cover. 2 dont fire around like a bunch of fools keep your ears open to locate the direction of the shot. 3 continually scan from short to long range. 4 pop a smoke between you and the fire. 5 get to a place with minimal cover like across the road. 6 and here's the big tipper you should always be doing sound offs to a guy behind you covering your flank and checking for movement of any kind if found the team investigates, the person in the ghillie suit must remain still or be spotted. Granted these aren't infallible or even smart but the ghillie suit was designed for a reason and airsoft is meant to simulate a realistic battlefield. Arguing about what is fair in a simulation of war is rediculus unless its about rules of safety and dead being dead. Dead Don't talk, they Don't move, and they Don't complain. Have fun... Grow up... And play safe...

Its funny how adrenaline can be a double edged sword. It can make you hypersensitive to sounds and movement, and you can tune into your environment as 'kickingmustang' did here. But on the flip side you can see what the adrenaline has done to several of the enemy players, it narrowed theyre thinking and tactics. You can clearly see they are always looking 30+ meters away from them, and not checking the closer environment. When its a single person with adrenaline, you can calm your thoughts and tune yourself to adapt to the situation. The more people with Adrenalin running hard through them (obviously not talking about fully trained soldiers) the more confusion will be caused, as you constantly feed of your friendlies own reaction to adrenaline. That fear and the 'unknown' in that situation made the enemy team lose initiative and cohesion at a obviously pivotal point in the session. They initially reacted correctly, but as the 'unknown' became greater theyre reaction to it became more and more clumsy, rushed and made them lose situational awareness of the closer environment around them.

Many people pretend they don't notice a single shot hitting their clothing. A sniper shot to the face is hard to ignore. If you watch any sniper video with cheaters, they almost always ignore single body shots.
