@@Uunartoq2018what? I truly hope you're making a joke, because that's just so ridiculous. Ballet always was for everybody of any gender. Actually, many of the moves can only be performed by either male or female, so it was always about the interaction of both. Also, how do you tell the stories from ballet shows with only female characters? Dress up the girls as men? No problem in that, but why not just have male dancers who are amazing? Really lost trying to decypher your comment.

It was good enough for Jean Claude Van Damme, and even the great Bruce Lee said that Ballet dancers have the best stretching regimes - Bruce himself was a former Cha Cha Champion, before his movie career took off. Would certainly explain why his movement is so powerful and graceful, just like this chap in this short. Most people are unaware of just how fit you have to be to do this, and the amount of sacrifice and training that must be endured, to be this good. Dancers typically pick up a lot of injuries too, particularly in Ballet - not so soft as it may look to the untrained eye !

My neighbor’s son did ballet from a young age because his sisters did. He played a lot of sports and excelled in sports, crediting the ballet for some of the skills. He played football in high school and still practiced ballet but nobody ever made fun of him, at least to his face, probably because of his size and strength. He went on to play while at the Naval Academy.
