I feel the same way the faster you go the less wet you get. I mean I went to Orlando from Atlanta and had tornado warning in effect while going. Did get to see David Tyler in Orlando on the great American convoy.

I think this may just be one of my favorite videos of yours that I’ve watched. It really struck me that you post for a group ride and accept people you’ve never met and you make sure to ride “beneath their skill level”. I live on the other side of the bridge about 5 miles from Bert’s and I think it’d be awesome to meet you and Chey and ride along on one of your rides. Thank you too, for what you do for Forgotten Angels. It’s stuff like that that keeps me watching.

@@brandonmacon3317 I’m sure you’re right but in my defense (1) just started riding again recently after about a 10yr hiatus, and (2) I didn’t know he did that sort of thing the 2yrs or so I’ve been following his channel (save Forgotten Angels), and (3) I am a huge introvert that has difficulty meeting new people. I had a chance to step up and say “Hey” to them at Blockhead’s grand opening, but couldn’t bring myself to interrupt their conversations. I know it’s stupid but I left w/o saying one word to anybody there. 🤦‍♂️

I had a real gem of a time once, 500 miles of constant rain in about 60 degrees F going home from Norway to northern Sweden on my KTM 990 Superduke. I had no choice, it was sunday and i had work monday morning. The rain started right before me and my friend and his girlfriend (they were on a 98 R1) left our rented cabin in the morning, just a few miles west of the Norway/Sweden border. It rained constantly until i was home, left my friend and his gf at their home in Umeå northern sweden with about 160 miles left to go home to Luleå where i lived then... I can tell you, my friend is a very cautious rider and after i left them i was SO fed up with being soaked to the bone... Those 160 miles from where i left them were NOT cautious or legal, every speed camera between Umeå and Luleå had a nice picture of the front of a black 2007 Superduke with a black-clad me going WAY above the speed limit. It's nice that our speed cameras have to identify the actual driver/rider with the help of the picture in combination with the plates and motorcycles don't have front plates.

Same with rain. If i barely get wet close to home it still takes hours to dry the bike properly, which i almost never do. But if I'm traveling across states then i kind of expect to hit rain at some point. Plus it dries off on the road (or so i tell myself). Even if i have to spend hours cleaning/ drying the bike it only makes sense after a looong trip. But if i get rained on when i just drove down to local quickie mart then I'm not happy!

I will post a theory about being mad and getting rained upon when riding. Maybe, possibly, when you’re far away from home you have a chance for the rain to stop, that hot Florida sun comes back out, and dries you almost completely off before you arrive home? If you’re a mile from home, you’re the soaked dog coming to the door all pitiful and just looking for a dry place….but I could be wrong

That guy from Revolt Custom Cycles is an interesting man . He loved Harleys from a young-age, especially-choppers (saw an interview with him in Japan ). An old-guy who rode a 50's-Harley, convinced him to chase his dream (he later became his first-Customer and he rebuilt that old-Harley) He trained on bikes etc for 9yrs and then opened his own little work-shop (while working a second-job to pay the bills , 3am-11pm !) His dream was to enter-choppers in Shows in The States . Harleys are Huge in Japan , ever-since they made-them 'Under-Licence' from HD .Production-started in 1929 and continued through to 1958 (HD provided All the-Tooling ) . It looked 100%-Harley but was called a Rikuo . In more-recent-years, Harley set-up Harley-Davidson-Japan to supply the Japanese-Market . All that Craziness resulted in you meeting him at that show (mad-World eh !) Ride it like you stole-it . Dave NZ
