Crazy how GoPro went from the undisputed king to getting dunked on by every influencer. DJI and Insta360 have not only spent their R&D budgets wisely, but their marketing budgets as well.

It's because when you're at the top and everybody is catching up to you. You always feel like GoPro is the best and there's nothing any better but do I think GoPro is the leading industry standard for action cameras. I think they're good for what they do the instant 360 cameras nowadays can do way more you can have one camera that can shoot 360 video and also. You can edit it to look like you've been shooting on 2 or 3 different cameras

37:12 quick note: DJI MIC 2 Transmitter only ($100 version) is not able to record 32bit on its own, it needs the receiver which is way more expensive offer ( $230=1x transmitter + 1x receiver) . but the worst thing is: Even if you're OK with clapping and syncing the footage with the audio in post, still you wont be able to do that with GOPRO+DJI MIC2 , as the DJI MIC 2 Transmitter only ( $100 version) is not letting you to reduce the GAIN and all your recordings will be distorted like hell. I've already spent money and time so that you wont have to .....

I don't think I've ever seen an ad for insta360 or DJI. Not in the sense we've seen GoPro TV spots for a decade. GoPro is almost a genericized brand name. Like Kleenex or Thermos. Its crazy what insta360 and dji have accomplished with just vloggers and word of mouth. Like everyone else said, looking forward the inevitable championship showdown. I'm literally sitting on $500, waiting for the final word.

OC : It only took my Hero 7 Silver biting me on losing footage one time for me to start looking at other brands. I upgraded from OA3 to OA4 earlier this year.. It does everything I need a camera to do. I think I will wait a couple of years before I upgrade again. I don't know if you've seen it yet, but the OA4, and I assume the OA5, offers telemetry data in certain frame rates and aspect ratios once you turn stabilization off.

It's crazy that I bought my GoPro Hero 6 like 6-ish years ago specifically because of watching your videos and wanting to motovlog, and I've owned them all from 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, & 12, and now I'm going to be switching to the Action 5 Pro next season, again because of watching your videos. Chase we need a three way match up here. Get that ace pro 2 in, some of us just wanna know which action cam has the less Jitter out of the 3 specifically for those who wanna shoot at lower frame rates and no not 30 fps. Edited: UW wise the ace 2 pro seems to have the less warp out of the three.

I do think it's a bit scummy for DJI to intentionally nerf the Mic 2 when it's connected to a non-DJI camera. It's a PITA that GoPro is this far behind when it comes to making cameras. And no one else has a reasonably priced mic competitor neither. The Hero 13 Black not coming with a magnetic mount is them being incredibly incompetent. A more expensive camera that comes with less? What? They need every plus they can get. The non-Black doesn't even work with magnetic mounts at all. I will say though. I wouldn't even go $350 vs $435. I'd then compare that $425 to the $450 Adventure combo that then nets you two more batteries, the charger, a selfie stick(for what it's worth) and a second magnetic mount. It's sad that I knew about GoPro before I even knew what an action camera was, but now they're this behind the competition. They really need to turn things around. I wouldn't even mind it being more expensive if it was a better camera.

DJI is good with software updates. GoPro does a minor update but you have to buy the next gen cam. Who else has a half dozen GoPros? I stopped at GP8 and have stuck with DJI since then.

Just app connectivity with my iPhone alone pushed me to insta360 and dji products. The ease of use for both of them opposed to go pro is just so much better. I’m happy I switched to an action 5. Being able to check angles from my phone and view, edit footage without having to go into my GoPro settings, mess up my angle because I have to unscrew it from the mount, and pair it to my phone as if it’s new every single time. Then to just see my footage is all garbage because it either overheated, battery died, or the footage got corrupted. I don’t miss GoPro a single bit.

Electronic stabilisation and low shutter speeds simply don't go along, no matter which camera brand or what you do, you can either 1. Shot at high shutters speed and add motion blur in post with RSMB 2. Shoot at low shutter speeds and turn stabilisation off That's all, even cinema grade cameras need gimbals that cost thousands to shoot smooth moving shots at low shutter speeds

I’ve been a GoPro boy since the Hero 3. Almost went with a DJI action 4 when looking to upgrade till I learned about the Insta360 Ace Pro. Ace Pro has been the best action camera I have ever had. Need your opinion on the Insta camera!

GoPro TIP: When you’re changing settings you don’t have to scroll back up to get to that arrow back button. You can just hit the power button and it will take you back to the main screen.

I have an Insta360 RS One and I don't like it. I gave up on motovlogging because that camera makes it suck to do. Never tried GoPro but if it's more complicated than Insta360 then I'd really hate it. Idk how you do this full time because it's so frustrating! Especially when I tried to hook up my purple panda mic. Absolutely NO audio whatsoever! I quit. 😞😢

my gopro 5 + old stupid mic adapter - very buggy & unreliable battery life my next actioncam was a gopro 10 (so a proper upgrade) - same problems. then i swore to never spend money on gopro again in my life! now owning a DJI Action 4 and wow, what a feeling when stuff just works how its intended to be + the magnetic mount after years of screwing on and off the gorpo! also rocking it with the mic2 combo. best thing ever! DJI for the win!

Insta360 AcePro is great in the extreme heat. Only issue it’s big bulky and heavy. DJI is way better in all aspects including battery life.

The problem with GoPro’s has always been their approach. They simply don’t fix issues, rather launch a new model without any significant difference to the predecessor(s). Yes, they were great when competition was low, just haven’t improved enough to justify and simply rely on their brand name anymore. RIP GOPRO.

I'd like to bring up that basically every content creator is dumping on GoPro for Changing Battery form..... GoPro used the SAME battery for 4 generations. The 9, 10, 11 and 12.... Do you think that technology advances in other things, but its not allowed in batteries???? Or is it ONLY GoPro that is not allowed to advance their battery Tech??? FACEPALM @Chase.... I'm glad they changed the form and the size of the amp's I think all of the content creators should shut up about the battery change.... I think that they should be glad that GoPro did it.... I'll call every one of them out (INCLUDING Chase who did the same) when DJI and Insta360 change their batteries and content creators either cream themselves cause they updated the batteries or if they totally ignore the battery update on other camera's.
