I finished mgs 3 over 20 times 16 times on ps 2 back then 3 times on xbox 360/xbox series x and 2 times on ps 3 and soon another 10 times in the remake the only game i played so much crazy when i think about it. Also played the other ones alot of times lol mgs ia the only series i played so many times through and through without getting bored. Its just a masterclass in story telling especially when you see the connections to the real world and history war and politics.

I can't help but compare this to the Silent Hill 2 remake. One is an ultra-faithful remake that has the same level design, character designs, cutscenes, and mechanics. It's clearly made by a team that loves the original. The other, we'll see if it's actually good but it doesn't look like a faithful remake in many ways and seems to be taking a lot of creative liberties from the original.

Phyton, what do you think of the idea of a dynamic CQC system on both of the melee fights on the game? Volgin and The Boss. I sent a email to Konami about adding some new dynamic system regarding these two fights, because the current gameplay is clearly outdated. It was great back in the day, but not now. They answered and told me that it was sent to the development team as a feedback. Take Old Snake vs Ocelot in MGS4 as an example. Amazing CQC boss fight. That is what i want on Delta, not the original" circle + push analog" button all over again.

I have this secret selfish wish where all the footage is doctored and when you boot up the game and jump from the plane, you unmask and it's Raiden, then the old school players will be like "very funny", but then when they go to menu there's no option to take off the Raiden mask, and the realization sets in that you're actually playing as Raiden, possibly as a VR mission. Hilarity would ensue. Better yet, make it a brand new character. People would be marching in the streets lol

Not a remake eveything in this game is the EXACT same...that's not a remake This is a Re-Remasterd game with Mgs 5 animations put into it Dead Space, Resident Evil games, and Mafia: Definitive Edition are REAL remakes Last of us part 1, Shadow of the colossus are Re-Remasterd games and Metal Gear Solid "Delta" Snake Eater is one of them Mgs 3 is not a remake it's a re-mastered game

If money is an issue, the more affordable route to play this game will most likely be the lower end of the current gen hardware. Xbox Series S, PS5 digital, or the 64GB Steam Deck. Not ideal, but that seems like your best bets.

It's 2024, which means they have the resources to literally put the entire game in one giant rendered-in map with zero loading screens and it will run perfectly. At the very least, the fight with the end needs to have all four sections already rendered in. That would be incredible. None of this spawning him immediately at the nearest sniping point upon entering a new area BS.

Yeah, well i don't know. If Kojima ain't got his hands on a MGS, i don't trust anyone with it. I loved MGS3, but others are making it. Even if they're actually copy-pasting the original just with better graphics, there's just something to anyhing Kojima touches, that is unmatchable. That's why he is the best game developer of all time for me.
