Want to preface with thank you so much for all the support! I honestly didnt think this video would see the light of day when i filmed it a year ago but here we are. I've been working like crazy the past 6 months to restructure the channel so that it can actually make money and I can keep posting for you guys. New content will drop next week. I've got several announcements to make so keep an eye on the channel. Thank you so much for still being here and for the love you have for this channel and my family. I'll be replying to all the comments here so if you have any questions or concerns post them here and I'll answer👊

Wish you guys the best bro!! KZbin is a hard journey to go on! You achieved something awesome and inspired me to start my post on my own channel again, so obviously the selfish part of me hopes you can post more in the future, but you already know this, always do whats best for the fam!!! Your a great guy, and father, and you paved the way for the backyard auto enthusiast to make dreams come true regardless of shop sizes, tools etc. Prayers and Blessings always bro!!! Nothing but support!!! 💯💯

Hey Kaleb, thanks for the update! I'm sorry to hear what's been happening! As you know from our DM's we've been concerned about not seeing anything come out for a while. I do want to take this opportunity to let you know that your channel was a huge inspiration in us strating ours. It's kinda of a double bummer! One, we're bummed for you that it's not working out and two, we're bummed for us, because if you can't make it with over 300K SUBS and 15K average weekly views, than it's kinda of a waste for us with 12K SUBS. Honestly, I almost threw in the towel a couple of times already myself. It is soooo hard to keep coming up with content, to be out there every week working on a project (on top of our regular jobs and respponsibilities). We're still hoping you can figure it out and keep the channel going. Best of luck and God Bless you and your family!!

Hey man , 20 years ago I was just like you, loved building cars and racing them and was having the time of my life. I had to put it up for the responsibility of kids and wife to raise a family. My oldest is now 16 and youngest is 7 and I'm getting back to cars and racing. You've inspired me to start my own KZbin channel and get back to doing what I love to do. Thank you for that!! In this world you need a side hustle to feed your passion and with 3 kids it's going to be difficult, but you've got a good channel going and people that love to watch your content. Since I quit my job at the power company and started back on vehicles again my side gig is 1 to 2 truck flips/mo. I make 3-5000 profit per flip. One every 2 weeks. That pays the bills and let's me have fun building vehicles again. We're building a RCSB Silverado for my 16yr old and I'm teaching him along the way. It's fun and frustrating and we're enjoying the time together!! Your a smart guy and will figure it out. You may have to come back to it later, but take care of your family and there is a way it can all work. So slow down on content and do what you gotta do, but don't give up on what you've already done. You're an inspiration to a lot of people and if KZbin is your side gig to your money maker that's what it'll be. Good luck and thank you!!

Thanks for putting this up. I was kind of worried that something horrible had happened to you. I even once searched your local paper to hopefully not see your name in there. I totally understand where you are at. I got burnt out at a job a while ago - I used to love it, I would go in and do work on weekends for free, just because I loved it. Then one day I was sick and couldn't go to work, and I realised that I was so relaxed that day. I took a day off the next week, just because I didn't want to go to work. Then it was taking two days off. I realised I didn't love my job anymore - quite the opposite now. But at that point in my life, I had savings, and no family to take care of. So I quit my job and took 3 months off working. With my money gone, I got a new job at a similar industry, but not the same industry. I have never been happier. If you aren't loving doing the channel, then don't feel like you need to. I would love it if you would, because I love watching it. Maybe change your channel to a once a month upload instead of the weekly you were doing, or even just random postings whenever you feel like it - Work another job for your main income. Honestly - do whatever you need to do to get by. I was just worried something had happened to you or your family. By the way congrats on your new little one.

Brother, at the end of your video you stated “I hope that made sense.” Well, as a shift working father of two, it makes perfect sense. I gave up my bike racing to be a dad. Just didn’t have the time. On one hand it hurt to stop as I almost felt guilty about dropping my passion but the more important thing by far is to be there for the kids and provide for them. It feels good to do right. I’m now at the point where my kids are old enough that they can join in (well, my son at least, my daughter has her own interests) but it’s all coming back and I’m now able to teach and plant a seed that may flourish. They’re only young once and it FLIES by. Keep a little piece of your passion though and dip your toe in the garage off and on but you’ll never regret being there for your kids. It’ll all work out in the end. I will remain subscribed and if you do upload once in a while, I’ll definitely be checking in. Cheers man and thanks for the inspiration.

Your content just jumped around on too many projects. It's obvious your like making body kits. I think that is super interesting to watch. So how can you do the the most EFFICIENTLY? What's the best custom body kit process to minimize time and cost? Can you do it in a way that you could reproduce them and make some money selling kits? Could you even do the mock ups on other people's cars so buying a car isn't even a cost to you? Can you get a spot a SEMA to work towards an exciting deadline and have a sponsor? More focused content, more efficient creation. That's my suggestion. Good luck.

Keep it up Caleb. Whatever you do you'll put your heart into like you've done for the channel so far. You don't have to show the ins and outs of everything you build. If you want to do periodical how toos on stuff by all means. Just don't get caught up with having to film everything. If you have to voice over so be it. If you just time laps things all good. Just do you and if anything I've said is not what you want that's fine too. I have 3 kids and I work full time as a mechanic at a Honda dealership up in Canada. I don't have much energy at the end of the day when I get home and you work longer days/hours then I do. Just do what you want to do and if KZbin doesn't work that's understandable. Take care and have a wonderful and merry Christmas and blessings for you and your family in the new year!

As someone who n the last few years started making content myself I fully understand this. My kids and myself loved the videos you posted and you were alot of insperation to start filming my own processes and builds. Starting on tik tok n not really seeing any traction sadly. But alot of people don't see how much effort goes into these builds filming and editing. When you get nothing in return it can seem like a waste. Understandably passion can only drive so much when it comes down to taking care of your families needs. I'm glad to hear your okay tho. For a min there I thought the car community lost yet another great insperational person. I hope that which ever path you choose to follow it is for the betterment of yourself and your family needs man glad to see you agian and well. Congrats btw on the new baby. Coming from a (small) channel myself, being the same age as you, recent marriage fresh newborn baby, I understand. My thing is I need to get back to being driven to build cars because I want to, and not focus on it being an income. Usually the views follow when you get back to your true passion/hobby of what YOU want to build and film and not get caught up thinking what would potentially be cool for others to want to watch. I never went full time with youtube but I know the ups and downs you are experiencing, just gotta try to get back to your roots and do what you want to do with the budget you have.

Crazy how youtube works. 315k subs, low cpm. Some channels with 31.5k have super high cpm. The automotive content ads don't pay much and they have the highest expense. Only worst niche is boat/yacht and maybe airplane enthusiast content. This is why most car youtubers rely on sponsored ads, affiliate link traffic, merch, buying/selling builds, creator promo etc. Not actually youtube/Google adrev.

Dang man... You truly have a unique set of skills and build some of the coolest garage built cars we've ever seen. I hope you continue to post some small videos here and there as you wrap up your builds. I get that the content will be less frequent and with way less editing/etc! -Joe

Was just thinking about you the other day. I love your channel, and your family, but the builds you have been doing haven't resonated with me. I watched ever mr2 video, every 911 video, and many others. But I personally get lost in these huge never ending series. I wish you and your family nothing but the best. I promise to stay subscribed and watch every video that is of interest to me. Merry Christmas!

Hey buddy, don’t stop. Slow down and spread your effort into other ventures. You need multiple income streams to be self sufficient and ultimately wealthy. There is a number of things you could do. I make basically nothing from my channel but between my wife and I we have 5 income streams. I want to build my channel into one that really adds to my bottom line. Having multiple streams ensures when one dips (like your channel for example) another stream can carry you guys through. Consider flipping cars to build a nest egg, buying a trailer and renting or flipping, arbitrage etc. think bigger. Don’t get stuck on one thing. You’ve already proven you can be successful here on YT. You’re in probably the top 5% I’d imagine. YT is a tough grind. But don’t quit. You’ve built something you just need to learn how to leverage it and build other streams.

First of all Congrats on the new kid! I 100% understand where you're coming from with the hours and hours spent on making videos that just don't deliver back. With the rise of tik tok and Facebook KZbin shorts it has taken the attention span of fans and basically through us to the side. The KZbin algorithm makes it especially hard on guys like you and others and it makes me sick. I've been watching you since the MR2 build and have always loved your content! True and genuine! With the rise of prices and everything a lot of people I know and people on KZbin have had to quit their passions just to make ends meet. I hope someday we can all come back and make a living off our passion. Praying for you and your family! Have a merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Hopefully when you do come back you will have envisioned what you wanted to do before. Merry Christmas to you & you’re family.

I found your channel because of the Fatsun years ago. I think a few well planned out popular builds in the future can do a lot of growth. Cars however we all know are very expensive, so hopefully as a side gig KZbin can be successful for you.

I’ve been there. Not the KZbin thing, but I did have to give up a few things when the kids got here and I had to give up on a few activities and responsibilities that were making children more complicated. So, you gotta do you. It’s all good and maybe one day your boys will lite a fire and you’ll get back into some seriously unique builds for them. Maybe not. That part of your story hasn’t been written yet. Love bro.

my man, i totally feel you on this. the issue i see most people on youtube take is that they expect it to be their "career" as opposed to a hobby, or a side business if you want to look at it from a more adult perspective. never quit on the blue collar money even when the side starts taking off. hope to see you back on here bud!

When you start to make money from your hobby/passion so much that it turns into a job. You have to then try to make your job fun. Never works out. This is only the end of a chapter, but not the book. We'll be here

You have the ability to make a great video! If your passion is there it seems like people will watch. But maybe the passion and the topic will have to be there. In order for more people to watch. I’m not a pro KZbinr, so it hard for me to justify taking advise from me. I just really see potential in you and your ability. I hate you see you quit this. Especially if all you need is to tweak a few things to get back on trac here on KZbin. I get it though. You need the money now. So yeah, of course you do what has to be done. Plan: find popular topics on the content you would like to post. Start doing KZbin shorts along with long form content Focus on making thumbnails that demand to be clicked. Like the kind of thumbnail that gets someone’s FOMO, fear of missing out going. Like if you don’t click your life will not be complete. There’s so much competition here. As you know. It’s a must to have a thumbnail like this. I believe in you man. You got this.

Making a hobby/passion a job is always difficult and often leads to people breading distain for the things they love doing in their off time. I can say from experience, I enjoyed wrenching a lot more when I let go of the pressure of making content. And although I still do put up vids now and again, not worrying about their success or failure has helped me enjoy what I am doing behind the scenes much much more. Be good to yourself and true to your family and their needs for you as a father and husband. Enjoy what you do and wishing you all the prosperity you desire and deserve.

You clearly aren't alone. Numerous channels have felt the pinch. My first thought is your content may have been throttled down due to the amount of time your kids are on screen. Algorithms are crazy. I know there were times when I wasn't getting notified that your vids were coming out. The make or break point for many channels seems to be when the operation moves from the home garage to a bigger 'better' space. I think that a big part of that is creators start to feel more like it's a job than a creation. Poor SarahNTuned is driving herself crazy with her new shop. Sure the lifts and space make the work easier but it's also cut off from everything else. There are a lot more channels resorting to sponsored videos to keep the doors open. TBH I didn't follow the Mercedes build as closely as the others. One of my first cars was a B510 with a 99hp motor so I LOVED that series. I'm sure looking back through your catalog you can see which videos got watched and which didn't. I think very few viewers are overly concerned with seeing projects get 100% completed. It's the steps along the journey that seem to get the views. You provide some really great unique content. Hope there is plenty more to come. And, as many have expressed, first and foremost hope you and your family are well.

Do what u have to for your family. That’s one of the reason I like your channel because you’re one of us trying to make stuff happen with your builds. If u comeback great. I loved the Corolla build. I think if u come back just stick to one build will make your life easier. And keep it simple. Budget builds like making a truck off road ready or making a 4 door wagon Corolla cool.
