Such a beautiful car. I am so glad I have a Rev 3 turbo with that oil filter location 😉 I've had mine since 08, my car forever. Keep up the good videos

I’ve been using VR1 on the recommendation of ATS, my turbo manufacturer. I can say it works well but I would rather trust my engine to what I’ve used the past 2.5 decades; Mobile1 15w-50. Oil can get very thin here in Texas. I just got my MR2T out a week or so ago, as well. Gave it an entirely new clutch system from the shifter back and the master back. All OEM except a braided steel line, RacerX shift bearings and the ACT HDSS with their pro series lightweight flywheel (9lbs). Feels great. I went with a full flush of Redline Lightweight Shockproof. Feels weird to pour blue fluids into your 33yo classic sportscar.

Amen on the catch can. Does Toyota advise pulling the fuel injection fuse and cranking to build oil pressure before starting after changing the filter? Since it is downward facing and goes back on empty, I would think about it. Love your car and thanks for sharing.

I don't have to worry about that too much - with the AEM standalone, the engine cranks a little longer before firing so it sort of does that for me. Thanks for watching Brian!

Loved watching your process and detail, but I have a question. The "oil" you poured out of the catch can didn't look very oil like to me. It looked like dirty water? Why is that?

@@CanadianGearhead right on. For my super low pro cars i run higher as to give extra sidewall support to not cause wheel damage. Nice Ride. I have a 91 4g W ats turbo setup.
