See I would've said Jay's father was abusive, and was gonna try to monetize, the elemental power Jay would eventually get, so Jay's mom left with him, but knew she had no where to go, and Jay was a baby, so he needs care, and after a while Ed and Edna found them and took them in, for food and warmth, and Jay's mom saw how Ed and Edna were with Jay, and new that they were good people, so she left the next day.

I would agree, but since the mailman gave Jay the letter in Skybound, which kind of implies that his father knew where he was to some degree, which if his mother was trying to hide Jay from an abusive dad, she wouldn’t let him know where Jay is. Of course, you could just chalk that up to Nadakhan’s magic

Tommy confirmed on his goodbye stream in 2022 that season 12 was originally going to have a flashback that revealed that Jay's birth mother was running away from a mysterious figure that wanted her elemental powers. She left Jay at Ed and Edna's junkyard with a key to Cliffs mansion. She then redirected the figure away from Jay. Originally, Prime Empire had a plot point that Jay's mother's powers is what powered the game, but it was cut because they didn't want two seasons back to back about a Ninja's mother. In hindsight, Tommy really wished they did that story.

Jay's mother did in fact NOT abandon him at a random junkyard. What happened was jay's mom gave Jay to his legal parents in a basket with a note attached to it. Although Clif Gordon IS in fact Jay's biological father, it's not confirmed who his mother was. Jay did not inherit the elemental power of lightning from the women in the battle of hands of time, but rather naturally obtaining it through working in the junkyard, and Lloyd giving his powers away at the temple of light. It's also worth to note that Clif Gordon most likely didn't not care about Jay, because we can see when nadakon grants Jay his wish, Jay was in fact left in his will.
