Let us also remember when Lord Jesus said, “…be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” So I think he’s saying there that we overcome because he overcame the world for us who believe in him. And so yes we will hate sin, and always grieve and repent over our sins, and honestly thirst for righteousness …so I think that’s what separates us from lukewarm Christians, who do not have an honest hate for sin and do not pray to live a life pleasing to God.🙂

I seek GOD everyday but I’m embarrassed everyday for having to keep asking for his forgiveness and mercy . The truth is I know GOD is with me and healed me in many ways yet I’m stuck in a sinful way in my thoughts and actions. Sin is Sin no matter how small or harmless it feels to us. You need to listen to better preachers who know dispensations and the KJV only. We live in the Age of Grace (Church Age) I have been saved 53+ yrs. and still struggle w/ certain sins and the reason we all struggle is because it is in our nature to sin thats what we do. Did you know that all who believe and trust the Gospel and receive Jesus as our savior will always sin in these bodies Gal 5:16 says we have 2 natures and whichever one you feed will dominate but you will still sin. When we get saved our new nature never sins and thats the part that you take when you die or are raptured. Look up Pastor Ralph Yankee Arnold here on you tube called the 2 natures he speaks according to the word and is Gospel driven always. Your obedience is tied to rewards and nothing else but gratitude. You come TO the Lord for salvation You live AFTER the Lord for service if you choose too. Amen

I never quite understood the Book of Life concept, until a pastor made it clear to me. He said for everyone who is conceived, their name is written in the Book of Life and stays there until death. If they are truly saved, their name remains in the Book. If they never come to a true faith only in Christ, it is then their name is blotted out. That goes along with the verse “No one can pluck them out of my hand”. If someone is not saved, they were never in His hand in the first place.

Jesus won't lose us....but we can lose Him if we choose to walk away from the faith, if we deny the Holy Spirit when we are delivered up to the authorities or the AC Luke 12: 9-12, or if we take away from the words written in the bible Revelation 22:18-19 our names will be removed from the book of of Life. Also one thing we should ALL keep in mind, it says Judas repented of what he had done. Matthew 27: 3.....He might be in the kingdom of God. We don't know what Jesus decided from his repentance

Repent is such a silly word. No one uses it anymore. Jesus was literally saying "change your mindset! The Kingdom of God is near!" (Not far). All of Jesus' teachings expand on this simple statement. THIS is what the Kingdom of God is like and then he walks it out asserting dominion, casting out demons and healing the sick. I believe Jesus and Peter both stated that Judas was lost. Scripture tells us in Matthew 27 that Judas was remorseful gave back the money but he didn't ask for forgiveness from God he went and hanged himself that is not the act of a repentant heart repentance is remorse combined with the knowledge that there is someone up there that can and will forgive you and so you keep walking in that like Peter did Peter was also remorseful but instead of hanging himself he got on his hands and knees he cried to our God in heaven and went on and lived when you commit suicide because of the act that is not a repentant person it may very well be a remorseful person but it's not a repentant person.

…. in Luke 22:34 it reads that Satan entered into Judas and then he discussed with the chief priests how to betray Christ and in Matthew 27:3-10 Judas then betrayed Christ and then hung himself (suicide, self murder) Judas lost his salvation and is not in heaven!

God bless to all here. I just had a Bible study at home with my hubby and this topic was among the conversations. I shared that we have thoughts before actions- we don’t do unknowningly- we have seconds/minutes to fulfill an action, we put forth our self control and at times we do cave in- repent and do your best to not repeat that sinful offense. In addition we have to bear the fruits of the Spirit each day (Galatians) and pick up the cross ( Matthew 10:37). Everyday given is a chance (I to fight mental challenges of doubt /fear and anger) but I press in to God and today there was many revealing of my pursuit and hunger (revelation 20 ) and how I want to be judged. So to the one who wants faith in Yeshua keep believing he is your Savior and go to the Word and read in his Sacrifice- read the Bible and keep Praying- that is our best guide and refuge🙏

This topic hits me right in the 10 ring brother. I’ve listened to arguments with scripture to support both sides of this. Knowing that I sin each and every day, there’s no possible way I could ever be worthy of Heaven. Only, and I mean only for the sacrifice Christ made am I worthy. And not even then. I’ve struggled with this topic off and on for years. I think if we repent and come to the lord, genuinely asking for forgiveness then we will be saved. I’d like to believe that if we once made that prayer of forgiveness and had set-backs where we stepped away for a time, that he would still allow us to be part of his kingdom. That’s where I struggle in that my guilt (satan) tells me I’m not worthy and will never be. As I get older I’m beginning to see some things more clearly. I have a long way to go. Amen…Christ died to set a man free from His sins, not to leave him IN them. Wilful habitual sin is damnable. If we say that we have no sin, then we are a liar, every man sins but a born again truly converted soul is convicted by the Holy Spirit and confesses and forsakes but you can’t be wilfully and habitually day after day in the same sins week after week. Look at Psalm 51 , David is a perfect example of biblical repentance. OSAS is a false heresy!

The Bible does not mention the phrase “lose your salvation”. The Bible does however speak about the last days when many will fall away and depart from the faith. Jesus and Paul spoke of people departing from the faith. They’re choosing to depart from the Father’s house. Matthew 24:10 - And at that time many will fall away … 2 Thessalonians 2:3 - Let no one in any way deceive you, for it has not come unless the apostasy comes first … 1 Timothy 4:1 - But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith … You can only depart from something you were part of. Remember what Paul taught about marriage and divorce - If the unbelieving spouse chooses to leave, the marriage is over …

It is human nature to fall short and to sin. Jesus is not an example we are expected to emulate, he is our salvation. If what God required of was to live perfect christ-like lives, He would not have sent his son to suffer and die for our sins. If we were capable of living sin-free lives, there would have been no need for Jesus to die for our salvation. You WILL fall short of Christ’s example, this is true of all of us. Christianity at its core is an acceptance of the fundamental reality that we cannot save ourselves and that is why God, through ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, has saved us. He knows we cannot do it on our own and loves us enough to bear the burden of our sins through the suffering of Christ. There is a far greater price for the salvation of our souls than we could ever bear, and so He bears it for us but we must invite him in. A God that is love cannot force or coerce us into salvation, because those are not acts of love. We must seek Him out and freely accept the salvation he offers. Know that even in your sin, you are never forgotten or abandoned by God and that He rejoices when the sinner seeks Him out with a repentant heart. If you have accepted God’s love and seek to do His will, He has prepared a place for you at His side.

Salvation is a free gift that cannot be earned or maintained through works. In the book of Luke, Chapter 15 - "The Prodigal Son" Read in context of course from the beginning, but specifically this section in verse 24 it says "for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’" And they began to be merry. It seems to me - from several NT verses - that God will NOT go against someone's will, that wants to leave HIM and pursue the world instead. If true, and if he/she was saved, then (there's no such thing as PURELY, "once saved; always saved".) Two of the most fearsome/heart-rending verses in all the Word of God...are from THE Lord Jesus, when he says..1. ."depart from me" (I never knew you), and 2. (MANY go the way of destruction and FEW the way of life). It is about losing faith rather than losing salvation (Peter tells us this is the reward of our faith not just any faith but that of Jesus Christ) Jesus is the WAY the TRUTH and the LIFE. This means it is not how we start but how we finish. We have ASSURANCE of salvation IF we repent and put our faith in Him alone. You do not just go to the cross "accepting" Jesus. No it is putting your faith in Jesus Christ and the finished work He did on the cross. He paid the penalty for sin and provided the way for us to reconciled back to God by having our past sins forgiven. We must then go through that finished work and die to self, pick up our own cross and follow Jesus until the end. This means you do not go through anyone else, but Him. Your life is hidden in Him. When you mess up I John 1:9 is there to wash our feet clean (we walk in the world but are not of it). God's Holy Spirit WILL keep us IF we do not quench the Spirit. He gives us warnings (conviction) when we are straying from the way. Remember we are to examine ourselves to see if we are IN THE FAITH, not in the salvation!

The reason being is that Salvation is a Gift we receive from God by Faith in the shed blood (death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. When you’re saved by faith, you get to do good works. Cool brother, appreciate n love ya, thanks for being humble, which is something you don't see in a lot of so called "Christians". People forget their original faith in Christ and fall back and rely on their pride and comeback with aggression. Which is why it is so important to have an intimate relationship with Christ. Spend an hour or two a day just talking with God and watch what happens in your life. Pray, yes, but just a straight up conversation with Our Lord is so appreciated and wanted by Him. To talk to God on a personal level is obedience, checking off things that you think helps with your salvation is not obedient because that is selfish pride and glory stealing, like it or not. Don't do anything for your salvation except accept it, worhsip Him, talk with Him, because Jesus is enough.

From God's viewpoint, no one loses/walks away from salvation. 100 percent of those God chose in Christ from eternity will be saved. God will persevere His people. Only from man's point of view in time can a person seemingly lose salvation, but that person, if they continue in that state until death simply proved that they were never born again. Believers know that we are born again by the evidence of a changed life in Christ, being a new creature in Christ. There are Bible verses that are warnings for false believers and those same verses are promises to God's chosen people. They give us believers assurance of our salvation in Christ.

I think people are having a hard time grasping what it means to be saved and entering the kingdom of heaven. I'm not an deep diver of scripture so this is just a dummies perspective. When we are saved we will not go to the lake of fire as all those who didn't get saved or openly rebelled against God do. Then who are the ones "falling away" in the end? Not the atheists, pagans, etc., They are already condemned... Then who would that verse by talking about? Yeah, the church.. There are only two the KING was pleased with.. Two out of seven isn't really good odds...

You are right about that. Look at all the apostate churches that have already fallen away out there right now. This inclusive "Jesus loved everyone," but they stop it right there without going into the blood He had to shed for us because of our sins. I don't know what you call that, but it's not the Gospel.

It feels like I lost the Holy Spirit, God is so absent from my life. Im tired of watching videos on whether I can lose it or not. I honestly don’t know if you can or if I did. And I have no clue how to get back to where I was. Prayer, reading the Bible isn’t the same. I don’t know what I should really do it’s been like this for almost 2 years.
