That kangaroo wasn't trying to find a safe zone, it was planning on drowning the dog bc they are psychopaths. XD That dog would have to be very lucky to win against a kangaroo, a kangaroo could easily kill a dog, especially a domesticated one who are usually alone. Dingo's are a different stroy LOL

I fucking love that I came in thinking the Buffalo was going to have some kind of secret drowning technique like the kangaroo but the answer is actually just that the lions don't want to get their feet wet
@alexk1108 Жыл бұрын
I think the lions don’t care about the water being wet in and of itself. They know the buffalo has a tactical advantage in the water. Their taller body type with thinner legs gives them a distinct advantage to the lower builds of the lions who will have trouble getting leverage while those horns are easily able to gore them.

@@shand6115 you are right. Lions are social hunters. Sometimes they hunt as a teaching exercise for the cubs. Not a serious hunt which often is a failure. Failures and mistakes teach a lot. If the lions are really hungry they will definitely finish that buffaloe because the lions can wait in the shade , hiding and the buffaloe can not remain in the pool for long. He has to get out to rejoin the herd , or to munch the grass. The lions know the waiting game!

Lions don't really hate water that much. They certainly don't love it like tigers do for example, but will swim if needed. But you are correct in that they are not built for hunting in water. The main reason is that they - like most cats - attack large prey by stalking and then jumping from the rear and biting the neck. 0:05 That way is most advantageous and safe for the cat. Sit with back turned near almost any big cat - they will be quite tempted to attack - playingly or not. Sit with your face turned toward them and they likely hesitate. Well, lion's mobility in water is quite limited, they are not stealthy while splashing, in serious danger or being kicked, and most importantly they cannot really jump that high or long (if at all) when swimming. They essentially have no way of attack with any chance of success so they don't.

Plus she has this really fine fur, like an angora, but short haired. I had to shave her, she was not pleased, but it had to be done, because she was getting stinky. To my amazement, my pure black cat had spotted skin, like a leopard, it was very black rosette shaped spots over dark grey skin! Nobody believed me until I took a pic. Her fur is back and she is better at taking care of herself, she's getting up there, almost 12 so hopefully I won't have to do it again.
