You mention how he references Heretic in this song and he does that a lot. Suicide references For Joe which references Freckled Angel. Hi Ren references Money Game. It is like he is building a universe like Harry Potter or Marvel Comics where he can reference his back catalog to add more meaning to current songs. It is fascinating how his songs all build on the same universe. I am not sure any other artist does that. Certainly not to the aame extent.

The Freddy theme crops up throughout. The whole 1-2-3 thing followed by 4-5-6 is a spin of Freddy's song (5,6 grab a crucifix) and Freddy was a catholic whose nun mother was raped by a hundred psychopaths. Freddy also used to self-mutilate (I'm a masochist) and also tortured animals (the animals, that, I think, are in his mind). Obviously there's a double meaning to nearly everything as they also apply to him (as the 'illest'). There's so much to unpack that I think people will still discovering things in a year or two.

1st thing bro, He mentioned Freddie twice, 1st was referencing Freddie Krueger like he's chopping up the flows. Second mention was "Ready? I'm Heavy like Mercury, I'm Freddie" Freddy Mercury lead singer of Queen. It's like he's just as musical as Freddie. The band Queen is know as one of the most versatile rock band in history, changing up their style of music throughout the years. I print out the lyrics and read it like poetry, because it's not just meaningless rap, like today's 2 dimensional rap, it's more like 3 or 4 dimensional. If you keep listening to Ren you'll even grow your vocabulary and start fighting for social justice lol 🤣. Here's an example of Ren's depth in the section of "I don't feel so well" I don’t feel so hot my brother Aching, shaking, stop then stutter Things gone wrong Hit by king king kong A Swan-ton bomb like Hardy Brothers I don't feel so fresh my bro Things get slurry speaking slow Head in Hong Kong wonton soup Is what I have for Brains I know He's explaining what he's been going through, his symptoms, how he feels when he's at his worst. Second stanza is some of the side effects and damage caused by the Lyme disease. He's having problems with his speech, some times he stutters, and Lyme ate away at membrane surrounding the brain. That's why he's in Canada being treated by one of the only doctors in the World who may be able to save him from brain damage and give him a chance at a long and healthy life. From the looks of it its Trick the foxes album (trick the fox was his band before the big push.)
