This is a diesel, most diesels are designed for efficiency and towing rather than performance so an active exhaust isn't really necessary. As for tuning you can get a piggyback RaceChip tune or similar, but it won't do much. Diesels have plenty of torque, this GL350 diesel has 455 lb. The Gl550 V8 has 516 in comparison. Horsepower is your top speed, torque is how quickly you get there. And with big heavy full 7 seaters SUV's, you're not really looking for crazy performance.

Audio is absolutely awful, sorry buddy. Wearable wireless mic should be considered or just a better microphone in general. Can't hear half of what you're saying on normal volume.

It is smaller the the others it competes with. But non of its competitors offer a diesel. I get 27 to 28 mph without trying to get better. The rest of its commentators can touch 18 mpg.

I own one and it starts just fine. The coldest I've had it was -19 C. It has the normal wait time for the glow plugs and it's loud till it gets up to temp.
