I have been trying to get rid of my belly for a year working out every single day without success.. and had bloating and was eating a chicken and veggie diet and cottage cheese and bananas.... changed to red meat only and in one week I have already had better results than I have in months... bloat is gone! 1 inch loss already off belly... and weight loss of 4lbs.. and I love eating bacon and burgers! So this is really easy for me. I cant wait to see 1 month results.

@@LillieKane Thank you... I really started this because I hurt my lower back.. and I just thought to myself... this is going on for too long and I struggle to get out of bed and put my shoes on! I had a thought.. that this might be due to inflammation causing the pain that won't go away.. for over 2 months. So decided to cut out all the sugars in my diet and then checked youtube and found the all-meat diet, my back pain is 99% gone and it has only been 1 week.. (I expected this to take weeks.. and didn't even know if it would make any difference) and I can now start working out again using resistance bands and not using heavy weights has helped a lot too and can still have a really great workout.

I have never had binge-eating or weight problems, nor am I riddled with autoimmune conditions, but I could definitely tell I was becoming unhealthy in other ways. From skin, to eyes, to energy levels, to joint and tooth issues, sleep habits, digestive distress, heartburn, depression, etc. I started off by easing into it, including pork, poultry, beef, eggs, fish, and dairy. I lost weight - which again, was never really a goal - but saw my stomach get flatter, my sleep get better, and I have been able to completely get off of caffeine. I also recover much more quickly after an exercise, similar to the way it was 20+ years ago for me. I have been migrating more and more towards red meat, but I haven't had a problem with pork, fish, and poultry as I am comfortable with where I have it sourced from. Pork, in particular gives you high levels of potassium, which you may miss out on when eating just red meat. SIDE NOTE: Beware the propaganda of the climate change nonsense. One of the goals among the ruling elite is to deprive us of red meat, and NOT because any of them actually believe for one second that cow farts are harming the atmosphere. They want us weak, defenseless, malnourished, and dependent. I have interacted with many of them, and they literally laugh at the things they can get the masses to go along with. On topic... I think one of the most attractive things about carnivore for me so far has not just been the results, but the fact that no one is trying to sell anything. Literally every nutrition guide I have tried to study for as long as I can remember was ultimately an advertisement for a line of fitness equipment, supplements, food, books/videos, webinars, etc. Thousands of dollars per year to be a part of a trend. Some carnivores are partnered with LMNT, sure, but none of them are selling their lifestyle in a shippable package, or asking you to pay to hear them speak. It's just real people with real lifestyle testimonies and advice without obvious copouts. THAT is how you know it's real!

@saltedllamas2759. I love that you spoke about the elites, which are - well I don't want to be rude in this post. I really love to hear successes people have on carnivore. For me it's not the case I have had ŵith carnivore. I started Sept 1st, 2023 and I have been on Go Carnivore since January 2024 I think and I have only received a reply from my questions once. Especially when I feel like I have a big problem and really stuck in what I should do and I get no response. And since I pay quite a bit for this membership I feel should get some sort of advice. I'm sure some people get better success but for me it has not been a good experience. I don't really want to quit Go Carnivore because it is my community but I will because it's useless to me in other ways financially and I'm not happy with it. Does anyone else have e experience with Go Carnivore?

I am a sugar / carb addict, and I do well on keto, counting total carbs rather than net, and eating a good amount of fat. I am 77 years old, and I have had to give up one food after another over the decades. The first, and definitely the most important food I stopped eating is sugar. Once I quit eating sugar, it became relatively easy to let go of all the other foods that were unhealthful for me and my metabolism.

The hardest part for me is watching them feed that life-ruining poisonous crap to their children, and knowing they won't believe a word I say if I speak up. They give their kids mountains of goldfish crackers, cheerios, oat milk, tofu, just every kind of bullshit unfood you can imagine. And the language around that sort of food is so weird. They constantly say they're "being healthy," even though they do nothing but complain about their many health problems, and go to the doctor like it's their hobby. How are you "being healthy" if you aren't healthy? Something's off.

She understands what I am talking about and agrees that what I'm saying is true but she can't give up soda, sugar, pasta, or bread! 5:18 totally agree, you got to do what you can stick with. Anything is better than eating carbs. People say to avoid processed meats and stuff, but if eating fistfuls of ham from the deli keeps you from eating carbs until you finally lose your carb addiction. Than it is what it is. I lost 93 lb doing it and that was 7 years ago. I went off keto, I've still never gained any of the weight back. It fixes your insulin resistance, and then you can go back to eating. However you feel like as long as you understand that eating too many carbs got you to where you were. But it takes such a copious amount of bad eating to give yourself insulin resistance, you're really not going to do it if you've got a healthy mindset since you've lost the weight. Let's be honest, nobody got fat by having one serving of mashed potatoes with dinner, it was the sitting there watching TV pounding through Cool Ranch Doritos and a bag of Hershey's. Kisses... That's the activity that got most people obese. Not having a baked potato with their dinner every once in a while

@Bozemanjustin, I’m a 73 yr old woman and I totally agree with your journey. I think women, in general, just don’t eat enough fat and calories when they go keto or carnivore. The only time my carnivore diet doesn’t help is if I eat too little fat and calories. I started with snacking on salami and sausages, like you. It prevented/cured my carb addiction while I still had the snacking/craving habit and now I eat much less of those products.

"dunking behind the counter" -- how I described my first drink at 13 when I was "making drinks" for the adults at a family gathering. Carb addicted but thought I just had to live with it - i gave up alcohol in 1987 so I just thought the binging sugar and carbs was my cross to bear and better than alcohol. Grandma of six, I have had a month mostly carnivore. The benefits reveal themselves every day and on day 6 I realized my carb cravings where gone. Absolutely great information. Touching on the fasting... I don't fast regularly but if I did go to say, a friend's wedding or birthday and ended up indulging in some kinda poison (cake, alcohol, etc) I will sometimes do a feast and fast to try to offset what I did to my body and get me back on track. So I'll go eat a giant high fat meat dinner and then not eat again for 24-48 hours, whenever I feel hungry again. Since I did the feast, the fast is very easy and does not feel like a punishment or torture it's very healing to me.

I started my weight loss journey from 333lbs and eased into low carb, keto, and more restricted eating windows, prolonged fasting, and then strict carnivore. I transformed myself in one year down to 178 lbs and started bringing the alcohol back, thinking I could be a lazy, dirty carnivore. When you say alcohol could you be more specific. I have a few drinks every months, usually on a date. I drink clear Tequila, usually 2 doubles straight up over 4 hour hours. Usually along with a glass of ice water. Distilled spirits from what I understand do not raise blood sugar but the liver must take care of the alcohol first. About 1 oz an hour. So I figure I lose 4 hours of fat burning but no insulin release and it does slow me down a little the next day but doesnt effect my carnivore eating habits. Many people say they were drinking but in reality they were drinking high carb things like beer or Margaritas or any sugar rich drink.

The carnis not using salt BLOW MY MIND Ancestrally, wars were fought over salt routes. Salt has always been huge in our diet. Roman soldiers were paid in salt (hence the word salary). Animals also share a true need for salt and travel miles to get to salt licks.

@daciepeterman9911 I'm strict carnivore and have been since April 2019, over four years. Not a single plant food during this time. I don't even eat dairy because I've never done well with it. The transformation in my physical well-being since I stopped adding salt has been astonishing. Evidently, adding salt was screwing up my sodium-potassium balance. Because an animal-only diet is naturally low in potassium, adding salt causes a too-high ratio of sodium-to-potassium. At least this is what I've come understand happened to me when I was adding salt.

I was feeling so bummed today when I weighed in back at 172lbs 😡 - Almost 3 months in. - Macros 70/25/5 - About 1500 cals / day (5’4 tall) - Lost 12 lbs Haven’t “fallen off” yet but the scale isn’t budging since month 1. I’ve developed a legit heavy cream addiction and thought it was okay because I’m within my macros. It’s up to 1-1.5 CUPS a day. Plus more cheese than necessary. Maybe I should REALLY cut the cream completely. I’ll have chocolate LMNT in its place and see how I feel. 😊 It’s definitely a journey …. But still worth the benefits I’ve already gained so I’m not stopping!

Great question! I think often times people go very restrictive to figure out which food may be causing an issue even though something like chicken may not be a "bad food", someone may eliminate it to narrow down which food could be causing problems but then they may want to add the chicken or other foods back in because they actually enjoy them and want different things in their life. So if someone can be healthy and happy eating more variety, then they would likely choose more variety than not, if they have equal health :)

I downloaded the Carb Manager app on a recommendation because I'm not seeing any weight loss since the initial water loss. It recommends I limit calories to 1655 per day, and according to my smart watch, I use 2000 calories per day on average. Almost 8 weeks carnivore. Limiting how much I eat after just 3 days sent me in a crazy mode - I tried both carnivore ice cream, carnivore cheesecake today, and made a carnivore cheeseburger casserole for supper. I am HUNGRY. I haven't been this hungry since starting carnivore, so this doesn't seem to work so well for me. The worst part is that the ice cream and cheesecake were bland and unappealing, so I threw some sugar in the ice cream and ate some. Dumb. The positive side is that I learned my lesson. I can not go back to eating anything with sugar. The suggestion I got is that I eat too much protein, I should only eat 3 oz of meat per meal. I'm just nowhere "comfortably full" with that, and more meat would taste great! Am a bit of at a loss how to get the fat burning started. Now I have a setback to deal with as well. How do I know if I'm under eating or over eating? If I get really hungry, I tend to binge eat, swallowing food barely without chewing.
@xo7454
@xo7454 Жыл бұрын
My suggestion: if you're still struggling to find what works for you, for now, just eat meat. Prioritize protein and eat until you're full. Full enough that you're not hungry, and you're not craving for junk food. The main goal initially is to cut the carb addiction by attaining satiety with good quality protein. Fat will come naturally with whatever protein you choose to eat. Or cook your food in butter and beef tallow to make it more palatable. Continue to log what you eat, so that overtime, you can appreciate when your caloric needs are starting to come down. Also, it helps you correlate your hunger and meal patterns with your menstrual cycle i.e. we typically eat more one week prior to our menses. For me, 10g of frozen sliced strawberries per day (1/2 cup) helped satisfy my need for dessert, and successfully transition from SAD to ketovore to carnivore. All the best to you!

@Kaitlinjensen. Don't change anything if it's working for you. At least not so soon after you have just started. I made the mistake of watching too many videos on carnivore and all I heard was get more fat get more fat so I added more fat, there are calories in fat and it made me gain weight. So ifsomeone says you can't gain weight eating fat well you can. Because I did gain weight. And it brought my cholesterol and Triglycerides sky high. But I stopped losing hair which was a good thing. So thr advice I would give someone would be concentrate on the protein.

I appreciate Dr Jen’s honesty. I to am a binge eater. I absolutely love sweets and I don’t think that it will ever completely go away. You just learn to turn it off. I’ve been doing carnivore for about 6 months and yes after about 6 weeks I broke down and did exactly what Dr Jen did and just went at it. I thought it was okay to have 1 little piece of chocolate that caused me to eat a whole bag but just because that happened didn’t mean I was going to just throw away all the progress I’d made in those 6 weeks. You get back up and start all over again. Don’t let anyone tell you just because you are a binge eater that this diet is not sustainable or isn’t for you. I also can agree for people like us it’s always in the back of your mind that maybe at some point you can add some of those things back in but I’ve learned like Dr Jen we definitely cannot add any of those things back in. It’s definitely tough but is doable. Don’t get discouraged. I would never say just because you are a binge eater this will not work for you. I totally disagree with that. It can definitely work and work long term but like Dr Jen also said you have to allow yourself some of those other foods like pepperoni, avocado etc…so that you are able to succeed on the carnivore diet. Keep pushing forward because I’m sure there are many people out there that have failed before being successful on this diet.

The cream sauce is cram cheese heavy cream butter seasoned with garlic pepper and onion salt. but considering how too much dairy can cause weight stalls/gain I only do this maybe once every few months as a treat.

As someone who avoids dairy due to my eczema, it is very hard to get my calcium in even as an animal based eater. I eat variety of pork, red meat and all seafood. Calcium automatically affects your vitamin D levels because you need calcium and magnesium for vitamin D absorption. It's a beast to figure out your personal nutritional needs.

Been through about 40-50# of potatos after 3-4 weeks. Most days that's all I would eat. Thus far seems to be no weight change or other negative effects. I have a huge sweet tooth and would have had buig problems had I not found "Pure Sweet" brand of white stevia powder for tea and coffee. I add a pinch of iodized Morton salt to my coffee when brewing - removes any bitterness) --- We are all different but going to MEAT and FAT (and whole foods - x-ing processed junk and sugar) as main sources of food seems to allow the body to work as designed :-0)

I also thought a Reflex protein shake was good for me.. but it wasn't until I started eating more protein and exercise I realised how much it was holding me back... with lean gains.

@@grantmail4112 I still eat lots of protein through beef etc but mid day when I crave chocolate I have my shake. I weight lift regularly and my gains have improved big time. I also get way hungrier than people that don't work out or have much muscle. I can't just eat twice a day and expect to grow muscle or to feel full. Most don't understand that the more you work out the more you need to eat since it takes more calories( most protein) to keep and grow your muscles.

Been on The Carnivore Diet for 56 days today and lost 42 pounds. I eat grass fed beef, sometimes grain fed beef, once in a while eggs, fish and shellfish. Occasionally I will eat pork ribs, chicken wings, thighs. I have experimented with cheese and heavy whipping cream, but that gives me diarrhea. I can no longer do spicy seasonings like red pepper because it also causes diarrhea. When I eat beef and salmon, I feel the best! I have also been doing intermittent fasting, extended fasting and one meal a day when I do eat. I have done 4 day fast twice and 3 day fast twice. The extended fasting broke my plateaus dramatically! The only thing i did not like was when I broke my fast with bone broth, then later meat, I would feel weird for the first few hours because of the shock of food to my system. I was steady losing about a pound a day, but that slowed down a little. If I eat too much fat in a day, I don't lose weight. The thing I like the most is the other than losing weight, having more energy, improving my health, is that I no longer have carb/sugar cravings!

Just a random question. If the carnivore diet is what we are suppose to eat why are there deficiencies like heart palpitations magnesium etc. Is it that the soul isn't what it use to be? I believe in the carnivore diet I just personally have experienced these things

If you still get leg cramps, I have the same issue and would use magnesium spray on my feet before bed.

Personal experience. Cramping is caused by going back and forth on high carb even with once a week "cheat days".

I took a micro biome test - I don’t metabolize coffee quickly - loose stool. Quit coffee and switched to Earl Grey black Tea - issue solved. Crazy.

Leg cramps... try half a teaspoon of Himalayan salt or sea salt mixed in a glass of water. It replaces electrolytes. Not the same as table salt!
