Just polished off 4 eggs and a ten oz steak. I'm down 50 pounds from 4 years ago and when I lost the disgusting fat off my gut I would eat about 3 to 4 pounds a day. More than I eat now. But I did it in a small eating window. Worked great but to stop losing weight after I got rid of the fat and gaut and arthritis and got my blood pressure down I had to put the fasting away. Now I upped the fat which as crazy as it sound dropped my triglycerides 80 and raise my HDL 87. My doctor who is prettier than this doctor somehow told me my blood work is perfect. Thanks ladies you are not just saving lives but making them better lives.

Last year I had to distance myself from a friehd group because they all eat junk and some health issues yet criticized me for eating a carnivore diet and seeing an NTP for all my healthcare instead of a regular doctor. The really suck part of all this is the dearest person in my life (mywife of 35 years) is dying slowly as she refuses to try to get better. She cannot give up sugar and pain meds she was prescribed 20 years ago. It is also killing me. I am OK with that. I love her more than anything in the world and even though I know, if she was gone, I would have to go on and I choose to support her even if it is not going to help her plight. I cannot find the cruelty in my heart it would take to turn away from her. I might die early because of the stress, but I lived my life and loved deeply at a level that most will never see. That is a treasure to me. That may sound defeatist to some, but walk a mile in my shoes brother, and you might feel the same way. I don't blame anyone, as this is my cross to bear. I accept my fate as I have chosen my path. I still eat carnivore, as it makes me feel amazing and younger than my 55 years.

Wow at 17:45 she says intermittent fasting can be over done, which she seems to mean not eating within an 8 hour period. I started IF in October of 2018 and I immediately set my eating window to 4 yours, because most people who do that are not hungry. I have not been hungry one minute since then. I no longer can relate to people who are hungry if they skip a meal or snack. In fact, after a month of doing IF, I said to my self that I won't eat tomorrow until I'm hungry. I didn't eat anything at all that next day. Since then, I've fasted 24 hours twenty times.
@DrAJ_LatinAmerica2 жыл бұрын
It can be overdone. It can kill someone if they develope an eating disorder or have type 1 diabetes or anorexia, many nuances. If overdone can reduce metabolic rate and send the signal to the body to slow down. In some cases caused people to lack micronutrients. I.F. is really dependent on many variables and factors. Age, race, activity levels, sleep patterns, lifestyle, goals, past health status,....

I only eat once a day during the week. No sugar, no bread, corn is a trat. Mostly just meat sometimes fruit. On weekends it's harder because of extended family events where I'm not in control of the food. I don't get hungry and think about food all the time anymore.
@DrAJ_LatinAmerica2 жыл бұрын
@@LauraBeeDannon and your point? Are you thin? Fit? Athletic competition? Any high heart rate exercise? I have obese patients that have went months on water and supplements. No actual food required for many people. There are always cases where IF can apply and cases where it doesn't apply.

You can't become all that hard to kill because people are fragile. A 10 year old girl without training could easily kill a navy seal if she takes him by surprise (with a hammer to the back of the head). Likewise, mere aging will finish you off without a problem. There is not much you can do about it. Sure, you can get some extra healthspan and some lifespan, perhaps 10% -15% above average with good practices. But by no means, will you be hard to kill. "Hard to Kill "is a goofy phrase, but maybe it's a good marketing slogan.
@drewr95802 жыл бұрын
I believe it’s referring to becoming more resilient both mentally and physically, this can be taken literally as in if you were gettting stronger/gaining lean muscle mass you would stand a better chance against a criminal/wild animal attack. As well as mastering your emotions and building mental fortitude as you continue to smash goals and conquer obstacles that you don’t want to do
