In Buffalo's 6 game run to secure the number 2 seed in the AFC Diggs had maybe 10 receptions, Shakir was the number 1 target at WR, at Boise State Shakir was the offense, plus Samuel, Kincaid, Knox and Cook Buffalo will be OK. Next year Beane will have 1 first round pick and 2 second round picks lot's of draft capital.

I think we can all agree with O.J. Simpson's succinct take on the issues the Buffalo Bill's had this past season. Too much hero ball from Allen and Diggs. When the Bills went multiple featuring Shakir and the running game they were a far more potent offense. Screw the vertical game. It's a losing proposition. It's all about being multiple and unpredictable. Yes, if you have a freak athlete like Brandon Aiyuk with his 7 foot arms or a Megatron/Hernandez/Kelsey/Julio Jones/Plexico Burress big boy, or a Jerry Rice/Cooper Kupp or a Randy Moss, send it deep 3 times a game. Other than that, especially with Josh Allen, play some small ball. Win it like Purdy does with just a taste of Patrick Mahomes.

It doesn't help the Bills this year but it saves them a ton of money next year, which is probably all going to everyone they just signed and extended. Seems like the Bills wanted his contract out and were willing to settle for pennies. Crazy still. They have to be using that pick to move into an extra pick in one of the early round this year. Also, Joe Brady did not use him as much. 107 receptions over 1k yards and 8 TD's is still elite stats.

He's the type of natural born leader who came in and immediately galvanized that locker room. He knew what the state of the organization was going in, and empathized with a fanbase who hadn't had much to be proud of in years. He was hell bent on giving the city something to be proud of so that the Texans logo could be worn as a badge of honor. Said it, meant it, already more than achieved it. He's a man on a mission. Loaded with weapons. Chemistry, culture, and vibes like no team in the league right now. Unreal how drastically different the identity of this team is from where they came from.

Tbh I don't think this move is made without both sides understanding what his role will be. Ultimately CJ will throw to whoever is open (or he'll throw them open) so go ball out and you'll get plenty of touches. Furthermore the guaranteed money is up after this year and Buffalo is paying most of that so if he proves to be a cancer then you cut him after this year and move on. It's essentially a 1 year prove to me you can produce at a high level still and not be a cancer in the process.
