I have a 2019 Veloster Turbo Tech. I totally agree with a lot of what you said. The plastic on the door panels is easily my biggest gripe. But I like have the extra door on the passenger side. I drive with a coffee cup in the center cup holder every day to work, and again my way home and it has never gotten in my way (my car is also the 6 speed). If you had really tall cup with a straw it in I suppose it could be annoying. The biggest flaw with this is the door handles. I had no issues until I took mine in for the recall on the driver door handle. Now in the winter the door latch freezes and won't open from the outside. I talked to Hyundai about this and the door handle is electric. Pulling the handle activates some kind of actuator which opens the door. The inside door latch is not like this. It is mechanical, not electrical, so what I have to do is go int he passenger door and open the drivers door from inside. This is so ridiculous I have a hard time believing the Hyundai people. I know what people will say "use the key to physically unlock the door with the key hole hidden in the door handle". The issue isn't the lock, it unlocks fine. The latch will not open. So this becomes a huge problem if your car's doors are shut and the doors are locked you are SOL (regardless of temperature in this instance). The only door you can physically unlock is the drivers door but it won't open because the electronic actuator has no power. Here is a video that demonstrates what I am talking about when it gets cold. Again, this didn't happen to me before they did the recall, but I have heard of people having this issue before the recall as well. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eZbZeGqXi6ykibM

I received a letter from the dealership says there was a recall for the door latch but I wasn’t sure if I should take mine in or not

@@MrTeeO467 from what people tell me it is a roll of the dice whether or not you will have issues afterwards. I know of some people who had the issue before the recall, and others (and myself) who had issues after the recall was performed.

yeah, i would say the parts that you say are subjective.... are very subjective. haha -- i have the 2019 veloster turbo ultimate and didn't agree with a lot of what you said on the subjective parts. At least you said it was like that, rather than say it was "bad" or "awful" etc. like some reviewers
