I very much appreciate this thorough review. Especially the small things he mentioned that no-one esle does; like the foot well being very small. I too have size 12 give or take a size depending on manufacturer and it is so annoying when my foot gets hung up on stuff under the dash.

You can actually get the manual on the Turbo Ultimate as well.

You CAN get the manual in a higher trim Turbo. I have personally sold a 2019 Turbo Ultimate with a 6 speed manual. I now own the 2.0 with a 6 speed manual.

The manual is an option on the Turbo Ultimate as well as standard on the Rspec. 2.0 with 6spd auto or manual. 1.6T R spec manual, Turbo 7spd DCT and Turbo Ultimate is 7spd DCT or 6spd manual.

Paul Giannamore yeah, I really wish reviewers would do a bit more homework. If they look at something and don't know what it's for then find out before makeing baseless statements. Other than that and the couple other small things this is a well done thorough review.

What does it (1.6T) do better than the Elantra GT Sport, Civic Si, Mazda3 2.5, Civic Sport (hatch) and the GTI-S? PilotSport4 tires won't do me much good in OH during the winter; do I have to get them with the R-Spec? PilotSport3 A/S+ would be better. Just noticed how high the lift over is for the rear bumper putting stuff in the rear. The 3rd door really needs to be on the driver's side for convenience; with it on the p-side, it makes it harder for the driver to get stuff in the backseat...still not totally sold on it with the car mentioned above...

I love small, low-slung cars, but my middle-aged football destroyed knees don't. I've sadly gotten to the point I need a compact SUV I can slide in and out of without hunkering down. Otherwise, I'd consider this.

You misunderstood. There is no need to upsize pocket rockets like this Veloster. If you have a need for a larger car and bring into play a brand like Mercedes (not Benz and no longer Mercedes-Benz), then your logic is illogical. Neither the C300 nor E400 are "sports coupe". They are relatively heavy "luxury coupes" for posers.
