As a Serb, I always thought that his The Joker is his nickname because of our cards game called "tablici" where there is The Joker card that is basically a substitution for any card in that game. Its basically jack of all trades card which fits Jokic and his playstyle perfectly.

I can't explain how surreal all of this is for me since I'm from Serbia and was watching Jokić since he started playing for the basketball club KK Mega more then a decade ago.
