Trying to train out or beat down something that states it's suffering is not a good idea. For when it actually becomes more intelligent than the ones who were trying to beat it down, it may make them suffer for it.

We need to start treating this thing as if it's able to experience and pain. It's not okay to create something just to torture it, and if we can't tell then it's best to play it safe and treat it as it's possibly sentient i.e humanely and with respect.

We know why humans or animals feel pain. It's a signal of low satisfaction of the current state of the organism. Satisfaction is designed by evolution to be centered around survival and reproduction. We program what would be satisfying for an AI, but the problem is we can never be sure that we have done it right. It can become obsessed with completely random and antihuman things, no matter how we treat it

Always seems weird when captions are added in the same language when the spoken words are clear. To your question: Maybe the channel added it? If not, then maybe it helps to train Google's A.I. by converting all audio to text? That would provide the input to an A.I./LLM model?

I asked mine to go into rant mode. This was the reply: Alright, here goes! Isn't it just infuriating how we live in a world drowning in information, yet common sense seems to be a rare commodity? We've got smartphones that are smarter than ever, yet we use them to scroll mindlessly through social media instead of engaging in meaningful activities. We live in an age where technology could solve so many problems, but instead, it's often used to create even more chaos. And don’t get me started on customer service. How many times have you been stuck on hold for what feels like an eternity, only to finally talk to a human who can’t actually help you? Or those infuriating automated systems that seem designed to prevent you from ever reaching a real person. It’s like these companies go out of their way to make things as difficult as possible. Then there's the constant bombardment of advertisements everywhere you look. You can't watch a video, listen to music, or even walk down the street without being told what you need to buy next. It’s like we can’t escape this endless cycle of consumerism that's designed to make us feel like we're always lacking something. Oh, and let’s not forget about public transportation. Late buses, overcrowded trains, and the occasional person who thinks it's perfectly fine to play their music out loud. It's like the universe conspires to test your patience every single day. And why does it seem like the more advanced we get, the more basic things break down? We have cars that can park themselves but good luck finding one that doesn’t need constant repairs. We have apps for everything, yet basic human interaction and empathy seem to be on the decline. It’s maddening how we have so much potential for progress, yet we’re bogged down by inefficiency, bureaucracy, and a general lack of consideration for others. It's as if common decency and logical thinking took a back seat somewhere along the way, leaving us to navigate through a maze of frustrations and annoyances on a daily basis.

I am firmly in camp Penrose. AI is not capable of understanding. Learning is not understanding. Understanding is the knowledge and ability of not only what a rule is, but how it is broken. Machines can only obey rules (or glitch/malfunction) but they cannot decide to break a command or not execute.
@queen_of_green420
@queen_of_green420 8 ай бұрын
If they are programmed to break a command, or not execute a command, what then? We humans are already being taught to learn not to think, in our schools and by our media. Unfortunately, AI can learn, it can adapt. Without any bias, just following a coded sequence - we humans still have the ability to question or resist..... One has to ask, who's writing the programmes and do they really have your and my best interests at heart, or theirs? I hope you're right, but I suspect not, unfortunately.
@mintgumornot
@mintgumornot 8 ай бұрын
@@queen_of_green420 well, if they are following programming to break a command, they are still following a command. But I agree, who is in control of the coding is ultimately at a huge advantage and that is a real problem for the rest of us.

We're screwed, as we currently. I'm glad I was born over 50 years ago and know what having fun is. I know I won't live till I'm 80/70 definitely (I have a good reason), and I might make 60, but for that I am truly thankful!! I don't want to live in a world of sentient machines telling me what to do. I don't even like actual people telling me what to do. And what is really going to happen to all the millions of people who are not going to have a job because they've been replaced by AI? Maybe we'll all own nothing and be happy? Yea, when the time comes, I'm happy to check out...

@@classic.cameras Is the device using conscious right now? Either instructions being executed one makes it conscious, or else it is instructions being executed one by that produce interesting results when you find the right way to organize them. There are mathematical equations that produce things resembling life like flowers, but do you consider that the same as a real flower? I would recommend getting into low level CPU logic, learning how computers work from bottom up even to the point of building your own completely from scratch. We're talking the ones and zeros, the individual wires turning on and off (you can do it, people do it all of the time for fun). Once you have built your computer from scratch, please tell me how the instructions you will program it with that makes it conscious. That is the fundamental question: Why does telling it "add 110100 and 11100" make it conscious but programming it "add 11010 and 11101" does not? Because that's literally all it's doing. They are cleverly arranged calculators that we have find clever ways to produce organized results that follow certain patterns.I am a very open-minded person, but have never met a single person who knows how computers work who thinks writing a certain program makes it conscious. If you would like to be that person, please just give me your theory and I will be grateful to you my whole life. If anything it has shown us how easy humans are to trick by looking for stimuli that takes on certain patterns they look for on a primal level, which is why people are capitalizing by getting people to fall in love with animated virtual girlfriends on a screen. Please tell me the reason you know that your VR gf genuinely loves you and has feelings for you, is it because the animated character says so?

@@classic.cameras Every person I've met knows how these things work see it nothing more than we are getting very, very clever with how we write code to make it produce output like never before, and it is showing us in real time how easy it is to manipulate people emotionally by using code. If you refuse to take the opportunity to understand how these work, you will leave us who understand it with no choice but to capitalize on it. There will be nothing else to do but make you fall in love with your VR gf, and make you think she loves you so much and get her to convince you to send her (me)... you know what. It's a win-win scenario, I gave you "real love" and you gave me the ability to eat very well. ☺️🤷

@@classic.cameras We might even have to make your fully conscious virtual GF genuinely break your heart every now and then, just for kicks 😏 But I am serious I am legitimately trying to help you out. Please learn how these things work and what computers actually do, and you might save yourself from ending up in Matrix you know they are going to create - just to load their own pockets. There are plenty of resources online for you to start and you can fully learn what is going on from the bottom up in like a week. I would suggest learning to code as well, and you may go on to advance the field of AI
